  • Patent number: 6331569
Abstract: To improve the quantitative and qualitative hair growth, skin structure and/or nail regeneration, a mixture of proline and carrier substances is used, which may additionally contain at least one of the four amino acids valine, leucine, isoleucine and/or glycine. The mixture is prepared for oral administration. The mixture may contain, as additional additives, ATP, biotin, cysteine, lysine, methionine, and others. The preparation may furthermore have a positive effect on the stamina, muscle build-up, brain performance, fat catabolism, blood fat and blood sugar values and the firmness of the connective tissue.

  • Patent number: 6149389
Abstract: On a turbine blade a protective corrosion resistant surface layer consisting of a MCrAlY alloy is generated by melting the surface of the turbine blade with the MCrAlY alloy uniformly distributed over the surface of the turbine blade by a pulsed electron beam to a depth of 5-50 .mu.m whereby a smooth surface is generated.

  • Patent number: 4718255
Abstract: In a combined knitting and loop transfer cam system for a knitting machine a switchable pressing strip for pressing the knitting needles is arranged at the height of the inflow members over a region of the a selecting system for selecting sinkers in correspondence with the knitting needles. A switchable cam for an adjustment of the tuck and loop position is subdivided into two portions one of which is displaceable in the direction of elongation of the needles.

  • Patent number: 4283926
Abstract: The flat knitting machine having two pairs of consecutively arranged needle beds and a plurality of knit carriages circulating in one direction above the needle beds and each supporting adjustable control bars cooperating with stationary control plates arranged between the pairs of needle beds, includes a control device for controlling the position of the control bars by means of a plurality of parallel tracks formed in respective control plates to guide the assigned control bar in a plurality of control positions. The ends of respective tracks are arranged in different consecutively arranged sections and each section movably supports a pair of switching flaps or guides activated by separate control members. The control guides in each section are activated simultaneously and independently from one another so that when the advancing control bars leaves one section the latter is ready for readjustment according to the desired position of the control bar in the subsequent carriage.

  • Patent number: 4154067
Abstract: A knitting machine is comprised of a first pair of cooperating flat needle beds and a second pair of cooperating flat needle beds positioned behind the first. Cam slides are provided with cams for controlling the motions of the needles in the needle beds. The cam slides are mounted for travel in a single direction along a closed path extending around the two pairs of needle beds. At least one, but preferably all, of the cam slides is provided with cam arrangements capable of causing needles to perform normal-knitting motion, loop-delivery motion for loop transfer and also loop-acceptance motion for loop transfer. As the cam slide makes one trip in one direction along one pair of needle beds, it can cause loops to be transferred in both directions during the single trip. When a switchover to normal knitting is to be made, the cam slide need not be replaced but is merely reset for normal knitting.
