  • Publication number: 20070050121
Abstract: In a method for determining a coefficient of friction in which vibrations of a tire are measured and a frequency spectrum of the vibration of the tire is evaluated, the following steps are carried out: frequency signals are recorded in at least two frequency bands, amplitudes of the frequency signals are compared with empirical values which are dependent on the coefficient of friction and on a momentary force transmission state of the tire, a coefficient of friction is determined and a maximum available force which can be transmitted from the tire to the road surface is determined from the coefficient of friction.

  • Patent number: 6695085
Abstract: A system for operating a vehicle includes a motor control and a parking logic that is operatively associated with the motor control. The parking logic is configured to be remotely controlled to maneuver the vehicle, which is placed in alignment with a parking space and the steering of which is locked, into the parking space under a maximum speed along a straight line.

    Filed: April 9, 2002
Date of Patent: February 24, 2004
    Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AG
    Inventors: Günther Mäckle, Thomas Schirle
  • Patent number: 6634654
Abstract: A wheel suspension, in particular an independent wheel suspension, having active adjustment of the wheel camber. An intermediate carrier is arranged between the hub carrier holding the wheel and the body-side wheel suspension, in particular the wheel suspension links. The intermediate carrier is linked to the wheel suspension on the body side and has a pivot axis running in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
