Abstract: Scissors, in particular hairdresser's scissors, in which the finger loop for the thumb is pivotable in a limited manner is simplified and improved under maintenance of the conventional shape in that the movable finger loop is mounted on at least one pin the axis of which extends obliquely relative to the center line of the scissors. The finger loop may preferably be mounted on two pins.In order to be able to take the finger loop more easily with the thumb, the pivoting angle is limited to about 50.degree., i.e. the most advantageous region in ergonomic aspects, in that a finger loop having a broader wall is mounted in a handle ring on two pins, or the finger loop is mounted at the shorter handle on a pin and at the finger loop there is provided a projection which abuts the edge of the handle.

Abstract: In a pair of scissors, in particular hairdressers' scissors, which have an optionally usable hook serving as a finger support on one grip hole, an at least partially undercut groove is constructed for attaching the hook at the corresponding place in the grip hole, said attachment being simple and not impairing the usage of the scissors, into which groove the hook can be pushed with a guide part which is essentially complementary to the undercut groove. In this case, the pushing-in direction of the guide part preferably corresponds to the direction of the finger pressure, acting on the hook, of the user of the scissors.

Abstract: When thinning scissors, in which the cutting edge of at least one scissor blade is serrated and the cutting edge of the other scissor blade is, for example, smooth, are used, visible steps detrimental to the appearance of the hair-style are obtained during thinning. To prevent the steps from being visible in the finished hair-style, one scissor blade of the thinning scissors has, on its outer side, a serration with stub teeth which overlies its cutting edge at a distance from the latter, the individual teeth projecting relative to the cutting edge of the scissor blade and having differing lengths.

Abstract: In order to constructionally simplify a cork screw having a bell-shaped housing with which a cork can be lifted out of the bottle neck without reversing the turning direction of the cork-screw blade, the cork-screw blade projects in a known manner with one of its ends out of the closed end of the bell-shaped housing and is firmly connected to a tommy handle. A telescopic tube is arranged between the bell-shaped housing and the tommy handle and encompasses a section of the cork-screw blade, said telescopic tube being firmly connected with one of its ends to the bell-shaped housing and with its other end to the tommy handle.

Abstract: With a cork screw having a bell-shaped housing with which a cork can be lifted out of the neck of a bottle without reversing the turning direction of the cork-screw blade and which is provided with a sleeve-like body with which the cork screw is firmly put on the neck of the bottle to be uncorked in order to lift out the cork, the lifting of the cork out of the bottle to be uncorked is often made difficult because the cork-screw blade is not centered. In order to avoid this disadvantage, there is guided in the sleeve-like body a spring-loaded piston which is located near the lower end of the sleeve-like body when the cork-screw blade is driven into the cork and through which the cork-screw blade passes centrally with a slight clearance.

Abstract: A scissors useful particularly by hairdressers comprises a movable scissors blade, a stationary scissors blade and a pivotal connection connecting the blades and consisting of a threaded pin having a shank, a head and a threaded steel nut provided with a projection formed with an annular groove extending over the periphery of the projection. The threaded pin passes with its shank through holes of the blades and is non-rotatably held by one of the scissors blades. A circular recess is provided in the stationary scissors blade and defines a circular wall, the circular wall being arranged to guide the threaded steel nut via the projection thereof. An annular body consisting of resilient material is arranged in the annular groove and engages the projection and the circular wall of the circular recess with contact pressure.

Abstract: A scissors-like tool, in particular a hairdressers', householding or tailors' scissors, comprises a movable scissors blade pivotally connected to a stationary scissors blade with a finger bow disposed on the respective stock portions of the blades. At least the finger bow provided at the movable scissors blade is made per se of synthetic or similar material and is mounted easily rotatable in an outwardly directed edge open recess provided in a finger bow retaining member arranged at the rearward end of the said scissors blade.
