Abstract: It shall be achieved to design tunnel finishers with air rollers such that the replacement of the jackets of the air rollers is easily possible, even if the air rollers are arranged in the interior of a housing.In order to achieve this object the air roller is supported such that the axis (19) may be removed from one of the two bearings therefore such that the jacket (35) can be replaced via the removed free end.Such tunnel finishers can in particular be used in the clothing industry.

Abstract: A tunnel finisher is provided with an entrance and an outlet and respective pairs of air drums associated to the entrance and the outlet. The tunnel finisher comprises a conveyer with grippers for passing a garment to be treated through the tunnel finisher, a steam supply at the inner side of the inlet pair of air drums and close thereto, a recirculation apparatus for the atmosphere and a supply of air into the interior of the air drums. The conventional separation between the steam chamber and the finishing chamber is omitted by providing a detector actuated by a garment to be finished and controlling the cross-section of the air outlet of the recirculation apparatus.

Abstract: A steam generator with a steam boiler (1) is provided. In order to provide for small volume of the steam generator and for managing with a low water level, the steam boiler (1) is designed as a tubular housing which comprises a heating means disposed at the outside thereof in a lower portion adjacent to the lower casing face, and which further comprises a temperature measuring means for determining the water level.

Abstract: A flatiron is provided with a plane plate (2) onto which a heating coil (5), a tubular coil (8) as evaporator means, and a capillary tube-sensing element (15) in a tube (14) are soldered. The bottom of the tubular coil (8) is provided with bores (12) in alignment with orifices (12) in the plane plate (2), which serve as outlet orifice for the evaporated fluid. The heating coil (5) and the tubular coil (8) are arranged in mutual heat-conducting contact. The plane plate (2) is connected to a casing element (3) and a handle (4) in a way that there will not arise any thermal bridges between the plane plate (2) and the casing or the handle, respectively. A thermostat for regulation of the temperature of the plane plate (2) is provided with a capillary tube-sensing element (15) leading to a regulating switch means arranged in the handle.

Abstract: An ironing table comprises an ironing cloth to be stretched thereacross. In order to allow a faster replacement and fixing of the ironing cloth, the ironing table comprises a groove or slot at a first side thereof for engaging a first lateral edge of the ironing cloth and a Velcro fastening at the opposite second side of the ironing table for attaching the opposite second edge of the ironing cloth.
