  • Publication number: 20050120844
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for slicing food products having an irregular inner structure such as sausages or ham, wherein the products (11) are cut into slices (S) and especially offset portions or stacked portions are formed and transported away from the slicing area (31). During said slicing process, information on the contour and structure of the slices of products is obtained by means of an opto-electronic detector device in a series of successive detection steps (E) by illuminating the slicing area, whereupon the illuminated rays reflected from the cutting surfaces (13) of the slices of product which are to be respectively separated and from the edge area (15) of said slices are detected and evaluated Said illumination is carried out in at least one and preferably in all of the detection steps (E) in several directionally independent components (k) which are different from each other at least with respect to an illumination parameter.

  • Patent number: 6804990
Abstract: A leak detection method and apparatus is characterized by the production of analog signals representative of the fluid inlet flow and fluid outlet flow of a closed or open system. The signals are compared, and a difference signal is generated which is a function of changes in the flows. This signal is processed to provide an indication of a leak within the system. By processing the analog signals, more accurate measurement of fluid differential, and thus fluid leakage, is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6539791
Abstract: A calorimetric flow measuring device is characterized by a single thermistor for measuring flow. The thermistor is connected within a bridge circuit which compensates for the temperature of the medium whose flow is being measured and a pulsing heater is provided to periodically heat the thermistor, the rate of cooling of which is a function of the rate of flow. A control devise such as a transistor is connected in the bridge circuit and with the pulsing heater so that temperature compensation is prevented when the heater is activated.
