Patent number: 6454503Abstract: A three-part fastening element having, as the first part or element, a first sleeve which is slit axially at least once, preferably a number of times, at one of its two ends and is thus radially spreadable and has a cylindrical basic shape and, at both ends, stop regions projecting radially from an approximately uniform cylindrical outer circumferential surface. The second part or element comprising a second sleeve which can be introduced into said first sleeve as a spreading mandrel for the radially spreadable end region of the first sleeve and has a radially projecting collar at its end remote from the spreadable end of the first sleeve. The second part or element intended for fastening a first component, by way of the first sleeve, on a wall provided with an opening for receiving the spreadable end of the first sleeve. The third element comprising a cap with a spreading pin which extends from the latter that is intended for introduction into the spreading mandrel which is the second sleeve.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2000Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AGInventors: Marko Polic, Günther Weikert

Patent number: 6330930Abstract: A container for the noise-muffling accommodation of a unit to be installed in a vehicle, such as an electric motor, a pneumatic pump or the like, has two container parts. Each container part is formed by a foam part and is fitted together to form a closed housing. The housing is adapted to be clipped to a vehicle bodywork for assembly on neighbouring parts of the vehicle. A U-shaped holder is partially integrated into one container part. The U-shaped holder is foamed in place. The legs of the U-shaped holder each have a clipping member on mutually opposite wall parts of the container supporting it. The clipping members extend beyond the aperture edge of the container part to clip together the two container parts. A flange projects outwardly from the container walls to secure the container in a gap in the bodywork. Each flange, on its side remote from the respective clipping member, has at least one supporting shoulder projecting laterally outwardly from the container part.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2000Date of Patent: December 18, 2001Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AGInventors: Marko Polic, Günther Weikert

Patent number: 5030949Abstract: A process and apparatus for influencing a central locking system (CLS) in a motor vehicle wherein a separate release of a driver-door closure is provided and wherein, without special preselection measures in the vehicle interior, a vehicle user can, during each release at the locking station assigned to this closure, decide whether he wants to release only this one closure separately, by actuating the corresponding locking station once, or whether he wants to release the closures of the vehicle centrally, by actuating this locking station twice.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 1989Date of Patent: July 9, 1991Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Tobias Reis, Wolfgang Schneider, Gunther Weikert

Patent number: 4998447Abstract: A device for coupling and uncoupling at least the cores of two cable line sections is disclosed, particularly for use in a motor vehicle theft prevention installation for prevention unauthorized opening of the engine hood and the like. A control element is provided by which positive engagment of two shaped parts each connected to a cable line core can be created and/or cancelled by remote control.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1989Date of Patent: March 12, 1991Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Dieter Feichtiger, Horst Holzhauer, Rudi Kneib, Marko Polic, Gunther Weikert

Patent number: 4941569Abstract: The invention relates to a rectangular key case having a swing-out flat key, so that the key can be integrated into the case in a space-saving manner. The case contains a key receiving space formed as a two-legged receiving shaft which, viewed over its length, is essentially L-shaped and extends with its longer leg along the side edge and with its shorter leg along the front edge of the key case housing. The flat key, in its non-working position, is lowered with its shank part entering into the longer leg and with its grip part entering into the shorter leg located near the corner of the key case housing. The shank part of the flat key is pivoted outside the housing and around its corner with the flat key in a working position pointed in the opposite direction from its non-working position and whereupon the grip part of the key engages into a longitudinal area of the shorter leg more remote from the corner.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1989Date of Patent: July 17, 1990Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Martin Lindmayer, Rudi Kneib, Gunther Weikert, Wolfgang Schneider, Rolf Krugener, Klaus-Peter Claar

Patent number: 4939899Abstract: A bidirectional pressure supply system for consumers of pneumatic negative pressure and/or positive pressure has a negative pressure line system and a positive pressure line system, to which the respective pressure types are simultaneously admitted from a pressure generator. Upon the electrically triggerable operation of the generator the consumers are connected, via parallel connected directional valves assigned to the consumers, to the respective pressure line system depending on the pressure type required at that moment, individually or in groups. The system provides an arrangement to apply negative pressure to first consumers and, simultaneously, positive pressure to second consumers.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1988Date of Patent: July 10, 1990Assignee: Daimler-Benz AGInventors: Horst Holzhauer, Wolfgang Schneider, Gunther Weikert, Rudi Kneib, Josef Schumacher

Patent number: 4866416Abstract: An anti-theft device for a car radio having a theft module, which renders the car radio inoperative when the radio is slid out of its installation recess in the vehicle, is provided by a joint housing for a power supply and anti-theft protection plug connection elements, as well as for a change-over switch controlling the theft module. The housing is fastened via the plug connection elements at the rear wall of the car radio such that the change-over switch is inevitably actuated by the frame of the installation recess during the sliding-out of the radio.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1988Date of Patent: September 12, 1989Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Horst Holzhauer, Gunther Weikert, Rudi Kneib, Marko Polic, Peter Robitschko, Theodor Reinhard
