Abstract: A fibrous product includes at least one top ply with an embossing pattern forming pillow-like chambers at least partially surrounded by first embossing protuberances; at least one middle ply embossed in register with the at least one top ply so that second embossing protuberances of the at least one middle ply nest into the pillow-like chambers of the at least one top ply; and at least one bottom ply in register with the at least one top ply and the at least one middle ply being bonded to both the at least one top ply and the at least one middle ply at bonding regions. The at least one bottom ply includes non-embossed areas and embossed areas provided with a micro-embossing pattern, whereby the unembossed areas of the bottom ply are in register with the top ply and the middle ply.

Abstract: Adhesive (a1, a2) as a pattern of deposits is applied on both sides of a hydrophilic spunbond non-woven inner ply (B) of low grammage and no or low adhesion ability. Together with this inner ply (B) a three ply planar absorbent product is made with tissue outer plies (A,C) by exerting pressure on the adhesive such that the adhesive penetrates through the inner ply (B) for achieving ply bonding between the inner ply (B) and the opposite outer ply (C). The different adhesive patterns do not disturb each other because they do not coincide.

A plurality of interconnected hygiene paper sheets as described above may constitute a paper web.

Abstract: A method for autogenously bonding at least two plies of tissue paper with a basis weight from 10 to 45 g/m2 comprises the steps of: laying the plies face-to-face; ultrasonically bonding the plies to each other with the help of at least one ultrasonic horn which oscillates perpendicular to the surface to the tissue paper plies. A multi-ply tissue paper produced by the method is also described.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of and an apparatus for producing a printed ink pattern on a tissue. The method comprises the steps of applying ink onto a first embossing roll, passing the at least two plies through a nip formed between the first embossing roll and a second embossing roll, and embossing the at least two plies in the nip and simultaneously printing the ink onto a surface of the plies being embossed which surface defines an exterior surface of the tissue. The apparatus comprises a first embossing roll and a second embossing roll, the first and second embossing rolls forming an embossing nip therebetween, and an ink applying device. The ink applying device is arranged to apply ink onto the first embossing roll at such a position that, simultaneously to the embossing of the at least two plies in the nip, the ink is printed in the nip onto the exterior surface of the plies being embossed.
