Abstract: A vehicle-cargo carrier unit, wherein the cargo carrier being provided with at least one supporting beam, extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle at a substantial distance from the longitudinal side edges of the vehicle, and supporting legs, which support the cargo carrier on the ground when the cargo carrier is not resting on the vehicle and which are pivotable to a horizontal position. In this horizontal position the legs are parallel with the beam and located between the cargo carrier and the vehicle inside the outer boundaries of the longitudinal side edges of the cargo carrier, and at least one supporting surface of each leg, located substantially in the same horizontal plane as the underside of the beam, supports the longitudinal sides of the cargo carrier on the vehicle.

Abstract: A carrying frame for supporting demountable freight carriers on vehicles is disclosed. The carrying frame includes a bottom portion carried by the vehicle; two substantially identical, longitudinal support elements adapted for receiving a freight carrier thereon, situated on the bottom portion and movable relative to the bottom portion in a lateral direction of the vehicle; reciprocating adjusting means on the bottom portion for moving the supporting elements to a predetermined position; and restraining means for retaining said freight carrier on said supporting elements and in a fixed position relative to said bottom portion. The reciprocating adjusting means further includes spaced first and second means for displacing the longitudinal supporting elements first in one lateral direction and then in the opposite lateral direction from said one lateral direction.

Abstract: A loading vehicle provided with a chassis and a carrying frame for at least one load carrier and a compression device for the springs forming at least a part of the spring system which carries a wheel shaft on the vehicle, wherein the compression device includes a moveable actuating device which, when actuated, transfers a force to the springs to compress them so that the carrying frame will be moved towards the wheel shaft, being characterized by the carrying frame consisting of a part of the vehicle chassis or being coupled to the chassis independent of the compression device, and having a lifting device forming a part of the compression device which, when activated, is arranged to lift the chassis and the carrying frame therewith, such that the carrying frame will take a pre-determined height in relation to the ground essentially independent of the weight of the load carried by the carrying frame.
