    Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying mobile stations within a target area is disclosed herein. The method includes receiving a request to identify mobile stations associated with a target area from a location-based application client. In response to receiving the request, a service node associated with the target area is identified and a request for a list of mobile stations associated with the target area is sent to the service node. The list of mobile stations received from the service node is then identified to the location-based application client.
