  • Publication number: 20150010003
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an edge device for accessing an IP network. A record is pre-configured to associate and record a port number, a VLAN ID and an EVI service instance ID in the record. A first packet is received from a user side. A corresponding EVI service instance ID is searched in the record according to a port number of a port through which the first packet is received, and a VLAN ID of the first packet. The first packet is then forwarded in an EVI service instance corresponding to the EVI service instance ID.

  • Publication number: 20140301401
Abstract: A control plane of a logical network device creates a service link aggregation group and adds one port from each member network device to the service link aggregation group. The logical network device includes member network devices and each port connects the logical network device to the same neighbor device. When a port of the logical network device receives a message with an unknown source address, the control plane determines if the receiving port is in any service link aggregation group. After determining the receiving port is in the service link aggregation group, the control plane configures a data plane of the logical network device with mappings between the address and the ports in the service link aggregation group.

  • Publication number: 20140301404
Abstract: According to an example, in a method and an apparatus for expanding member ports of a link aggregation group between clusters, each apparatus in a cluster receives a port joining link aggregation group message sent by a master control board on a master apparatus in the cluster. In response to an apparatus determining that a newly joined port is a port on the apparatus itself and also is the first member port in the link aggregation group of the cluster, the newly joined port is associated with the link aggregation group. By applying the method and the apparatus for expanding member ports of a link aggregation group between clusters in this manner, according to an example, the number of member links in the link aggregation group between clusters is able to be increased, and the robustness of the network interconnection between clusters is also able to be enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20140092729
Abstract: The present disclosure describes data transmission in a packet transport network (PTN). A multiple stack device facilitates data transmission between a first edge device of a first PTN technology and a second edge device of a second PTN technology. After receiving a first packet of the first PTN technology from the first edge device, the multiple stack device identifies a first connection with the first edge device according to information of the first packet and identifies a second connection with the second edge device from the first connection based on a relationship between the first connection and the second connection. The first packet is de-encapsulated and re-encapsulated into a second packet of the second PTN technology according to the second connection. The second packet is then forwarded to the second edge device via the second connection.

  • Patent number: 6929496
Abstract: A socket connector (1) for electrically interconnecting a CPU package and a PCB includes a base (10), a cover (13) slidably mounted on the base, an actuator mechanism (14) sandwiched between the cover and the base, and a plurality of terminals (15) received in the base. The base defines an actuator channel (120) having a protrusion block (121) in a middle thereof, and an array of terminal-passages (110) receiving the terminals therein. The actuator mechanism includes a shaft (140) having a protrusion (1402) corresponding to the protrusion block, and a handle lever (141) extending from the shaft. When the CPU package is mounted onto the connector with zero inserted force, the protrusion block is mated with the protrusion to keep the actuator mechanism at a vertical position. The protrusion block increases a strength of the base to protect the base from distortion or damage should it sustain unduly large force.
