  • Patent number: 10035193
Abstract: A method is presented for synthesizing particles in the presence of a solid phase. Of note, sorption is used to associate a precursor(s) for synthesizing the particles onto or into the surface of a host structure prior to the chemical reaction that results in the particles being formed in or on surface of the host structure. Particles produced by this method can be stored for long durations and released on-demand in a solvent of choice to form stable suspensions without the need for any additional surfactants or stabilizers.

  • Patent number: 9849909
Abstract: A steering system for a towable implement includes a steering sensor, an implement steering controller, a steering control valve, a steering cylinder, and an implement steering mechanism that steers the implement. The steering sensor measures, directly or indirectly, the angular position of the steerable wheels of the implement. The implement steering controller processes feedback from the steering sensor and with a desired steering angle, outputs a steering control signal that is input to the steering control valve. The steering control valve controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to the steering cylinder, which, in turn, powers the implement steering mechanism to turn the wheels of the implement. The steering system may be operated in various control modes, such as, a transportation steering mode, a corner and 180 turn steering mode, a swath tracking steering mode, crab steering mode, and a manual steering mode, which allows manual control of the steering system.

  • Publication number: 20170362579
Abstract: Compositions, methods, and kits are disclosed directed at haptens, immunogens and immunoassays for oxycodone and metabolites thereof. The compounds are exemplified by compounds of the Formula I. The method comprises providing in combination in a medium (i) a sample suspected of containing oxycodone and/or oxycodone metabolites, a compound of the Formula I wherein R4 or R5 is a label, and an antibody for oxycodone or a metabolite thereof. The medium is examined for the presence of a complex comprising the labeled compound of Formula I where the presence of such as complex indicates the presence of oxycodone or oxycodone metabolite in the sample.

  • Publication number: 20170139306
Abstract: A mechanical chameleon through dynamic real-time plasmonic tuning, the external surface of which is covered by plasmonic cells is provided. Plasmonic cells, based on the combination of bimetallic nanodot arrays and electrochemical bias, use the electrochemical method elctrodepositing and stripping Ag shells on plasmonic Au nanodomes and then we achieve the reversible full colour plasmonic cells/display. Plasmonic cells, under the control of circuits and sensors, make mechanical chameleon automatically change the color of its own when it's walking to the corresponding background color and always keeping the same color with the color background. This mechanical chameleon through dynamic real-time plasmonic tuning can capture and simulate the entire colour-patterns of the environment and then drive the colour-changing process in individual cells, fully merging the mechanical chameleon into the surroundings, which makes this technology is readily approachable.

  • Patent number: 9014901
Abstract: A control system and method is provided to control the trajectory of a transport vehicle (20) to follow the trajectory of a harvester (10). The harvester can send control information such as the harvester's current position and future position waypoints to the transport vehicle. The control system can then use the information from the harvester to determine the trajectory for the transport vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9002591
Abstract: A control system and method is provided for controlling the operational configuration of a spout of a harvester being used to perform unload on the go operations with an associated transport vehicle. The velocities of the harvester and transport vehicle and the lateral and longitudinal distances between the harvester and transport vehicle are used to predict future lateral and longitudinal distances between the harvester and transport vehicle. A control signal is issued to a harvester spout control system if either of the predicted lateral distance or longitudinal distance is outside of an associated acceptable range. The harvester spout control system then either shuts off the spout or changes the orientation of the spout in response to the control signal.

  • Patent number: 8359139
Abstract: The orientation of a self-propelled vehicle or a towed vehicle relative to the direction of travel of the vehicle can be determined by mounting two ground speed sensors on the vehicle. The orientation of the vehicle relative to the direction of travel of the vehicle can be used to correct the error in the location of an implement mounted on the vehicle determined by a GPS system mounted on the vehicle or the vehicle towing the implement due to crabbing of the vehicle as the vehicle travels substantially perpendicular to a significant slope.
