The method overcomes the theoretical defects of the existing velocity defect functions. That is, the velocity profile in a turbulent wave boundary layer cannot be realized; and in addition, without the assumption of linear wave conditions, the method is suitable for nonlinear waves and at the same time, for a small A/k, range, and can be extended to the analysis and prediction for the maximum velocity profile under the condition that the spatial distribution of roughness elements of gravel seabed, etc. obviously affects the flow structure of the boundary layer.
