Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for reference impedance adaptation are disclosed. The method may comprise a step of providing a network model of a circuit having at least one port, wherein the network model includes at least one network parameter, the network parameter being associated with the port and being defined based on a reference impedance of the port. The method may further comprise computing an input impedance of the port based on the network parameter. The method may also include defining a new reference impedance for the port based on the input impedance. Moreover, the method may include calculating a new network parameter of the network model based on the new reference impedance.

Abstract: A system is provided that includes a portable electronic device and a customer care system. The customer care system is configured to remotely communicate with the portable electronic device. The customer care system is operable to receive an indication of content displayed on a display of the portable electronic device. The customer care system is operable to communicate a signal to the portable electronic device that the portable electronic device interprets as input to keys on the portable electronic device by a user of the portable electronic device.

Abstract: A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) device is provided. The device has an architecture comprising a Bluetooth adaptation layer for wireless communication according to a Bluetooth convention, a MANET service layer, a scatternet module, a routing module, and a flow control manager in the MANET service layer. The scatternet module and the routing module are in communication with the MANET service layer. The MANET service layer is independent of the topology protocol of the scatternet module and independent of a routing rules of the routing module.

Abstract: A system for remote handset diagnostics is provided. The system includes a plurality of handsets each having a diagnostic engine, and a carrier system having a plurality of encoder/decoder components. Each encoder/decoder component is operable to promote communication with at least one diagnostic engine to obtain diagnostic data. The carrier system further includes a diagnostic component that is operable to provide a common interface for diagnosing handsets. The diagnostic component is also operable to communicate with the plurality of encoder/decoder components and to facilitate diagnosis of the handset.

The method includes providing an application having an event module and a plurality of protocol modules. The method includes specifying whether the application will execute in either a high or low priority thread. The method also includes specifying whether high priority threads execute with one of an unblocking status and a best effort status, and specifying whether lower priority threads execute with one of a blocking status, the unblocking status, and the best effort status.

Abstract: A system for providing collaboration among a plurality of devices in a mobile ad hoc network is disclosed. The system consists of a module within each of the devices that is operable to perform login, synchronization, data loss recovery, and conflict avoidance and resolution functions.

Abstract: A wireless communication device capable of downloading a software update file from a wireless network. The wireless communication device comprises a non-volatile memory that is re-programmed by sectors. The non-volatile memory stores: i) a target file to be updated, ii) the downloaded software update file, and iii) a journal comprising a plurality of entries, each of the entries containing status information associated with a re-programmed sector of the non-volatile memory. The wireless communication device also comprises a random access memory and a main processor that replaces target code in the target file with replacement code from the downloaded software update file. The main processor creates a first block of replacement code in the random access memory and re-programs a first target sector of the non-volatile memory by storing the first block of replacement code into the first target sector.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a system and method for a pseudo DLL linker. In one example, the method includes identifying a plurality of components forming an image and identifying all symbols exportable from each component and all symbols imported by each component from another component. A redirection mechanism is built containing an address of each symbol exported by a component that is imported by another component, and each component is modified to alter each direct reference to a symbol associated with another component to a reference to the redirection mechanism. A linker is called to link a final image based on the modified components.

In one example, the method includes identifying object files required for forming an image for a wireless device, where at least one of the object files is received from an assembler in machine language. Components are formed from the object files and a base address is determined for each component. A memory layout is generated to define a location of each of the identified components at the corresponding base address, and a linker is called to link the components as defined by the memory layout to create the image.

The mobile handset has a diagnostic software application stored on the mobile handset, and a second software application executable on the mobile handset. The server is operable to interpret results received from the diagnostic software application. The server is further operable to return updated operating parameters to the mobile handset based at least in part on the results of the diagnostic software application. The diagnostic software application is invoked using the second software application in response to the server sending a signal to the second software application.
