  • Publication number: 20250249862
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein relate to adaptively adjusting the load limit of a seat belt load limiter. In one embodiment, an adaptive load-limit adjustment system estimates the weight of an occupant of a vehicle seat based on sensor data. The system also adjusts the load limit of the seat belt load limiter in accordance with the estimated weight of the occupant by causing one or more pins to protrude laterally a predetermined length from a torsional bar of the seat belt load limiter to change an effective diameter of the torsional bar and thereby adjust a shear force exerted during a vehicular crash on a STF that surrounds the torsional bar between the torsional bar and a housing of the seat belt load limiter.

  • Publication number: 20250199072
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for detecting motor faults and predicting remaining useful life of the motor. The disclosed systems may receive sensor data that is provided to a model. The model is trained by utilizing sensor data for motor operation. The model utilizes the sensor data to output a health index of the motor. The health index is then utilized to predict a remaining useful life of the motor. This prediction can be automatically relayed to an operator, system, or other user for further action.

Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a method of estimating induction motor torque. The method can include calculation of the ratio of output power (P01) to motor rotational speed (N1). The calculation includes determining, using motor name plate information (NPI), rated motor information; measuring motor operational parameters, the parameters including rotational speed (N1), root mean squared, RMS, current (I1), input power (Pi1) and supply frequency (f1); calculating rated motor power losses; calculating total motor operational power losses (Ploss1) from a combination of individual motor operational power losses; determining output power (Po1) from the measured input power (Pi1) and the total motor operational power loss (Ploss1). The induction motor torque (T1) is calculated using the ratio of output power (P01) to motor rotational speed (N1).

  • Publication number: 20240288336
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described to provide notification of a bearing fault in a motor by analysing the motor's current spectrum. Data samples measuring the current drawn by the motor are received from a current sensor. A frequency of the motor supply, speed of the motor and characteristic frequency of the motor are determined. The data samples are processed to produce a frequency spectrum of the current from which it is determined whether any indications of bearing fault are present. These bearing faults are indicated by peaks in the current spectrum corresponding to the characteristic frequencies.

  • Patent number: 11947489
Abstract: A new snapshot of a storage volume is created by instructing computing nodes to suppress write requests. Once pending write requests from the computing nodes are completed, storage nodes create a new snapshot for the storage volume by allocating a new segment to the new snapshot and finalizes and performs garbage collection with respect to segments allocated to the previous snapshot. Subsequent write requests to the storage volume are then performed on the segments allocated to the new snapshot. A segment maps segments to a particular snapshot and metadata stored in the segment indicates storage volume addresses of data written to the segment. The snapshots may be represented by a storage manager in a hierarchy that identifies an ordering of snapshots and branches to clone snapshots.
