  • Publication number: 20190023228
Abstract: A windshield wiper system for an aircraft is provided and includes a motor, an output shaft, a wrap spring and crank rocker mechanism (WSCRM) to which the motor and the output shaft are coupled and a controller. By way of the WSCRM, first directional rotation input to the WSCRM from the motor via a two-stage gear reduction is converted such that the output shaft drives wiper blade oscillation through a first sweep angle and second directional rotation input to the WSCRM from the motor is converted such that the output shaft drives wiper blade oscillation through a second sweep angle. The controller is configured to control the motor such that the first directional rotation is continuously or non-continuously input during first or second flight conditions, respectively, and the second directional rotation is continuously input during third flight conditions.

  • Publication number: 20170344331
Abstract: A method and an information handling system (IHS) renders a graphical user interface (GUI) from a remote device using a local storage. An interface controller detects a first event used to initiate access to the GUI at the remote device. The controller requests GUI frame buffer data corresponding to the first event, and GUI change data from the remote device. The GUI change data correspond to respective events that can trigger changes to the GUI. In response to receiving the requested data, the controller provides a first locally-rendered GUI using the GUI frame buffer data. The controller stores the GUI change data in local storage. The controller then detects a second event/interaction via the first locally-rendered GUI and retrieves from local storage a relevant portion of the GUI change data. The controller provides an updated locally-rendered GUI using the relevant portion of GUI change data.

  • Patent number: 9659095
Abstract: A method for managing the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content of web pages is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes providing a set of web pages organized in a hierarchical structure. Each web page has an SEO content pattern associated therewith. The method establishes an inheritance scheme for the hierarchical structure such that the SEO content patterns of parent web pages are inherited by children web pages. The method further enables a user to override the inheritance scheme for selected web pages such that the SEO content patterns of the selected web pages override the SEO content patterns of their respective parent web pages. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9606137
Abstract: A pitot tube includes a wall that extends longitudinally along an axis. The wall defines an inlet aperture at a longitudinal end of the wall, an outlet aperture opposite the inlet aperture, an interior cavity extending from the inlet aperture to an outlet aperture, a passage extending through and perpendicular to the wall having an outlet along an exterior surface of the wall, and an augmenting feature configured to reduce a static pressure at the outlet of the passage. In another embodiment, a wall defines a passage and an augmenting feature that modifies a flow direction of fluid flowing across an outlet of the passage such that a static pressure of the fluid at the outlet is reduced relative to the wall without the augmenting feature.
