  • Publication number: 20230356797
Abstract: A method for detecting a movement of interest of a bike is disclosed. The method includes (i) sensing first sensor data by way of a first sensor, (ii) determining an indicator based on the first sensor data, wherein the indicator indicates a probability of a presence of a movement of interest of the bike , (iii) sensing second sensor data by way of a second sensor, wherein the second sensor data describes a strength of a movement of the bike, (iv) determining a weighting factor based on the second sensor data, (v) weighting the indicator by the weighting factor, and (vi) detecting whether the movement of interest is given based on the weighted indicator.

  • Publication number: 20230356726
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining a parking position of a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes (i) detecting first positions of the vehicle in a temporally successive sequence by a GNSS receiver and storing these positions in a memory, wherein an associated first positioning error is stored for each of the positions, (ii) detecting a final position of the vehicle with an associated final positioning error by the GNSS receiver in response to the vehicle being transferred into a parked state, and (iii) determining the parking position of the vehicle, wherein one of the first positions of the vehicle stored in the memory is determined as the parking position of the vehicle when its distance from the last position plus the associated first positioning error is smaller than the last positioning error or a last positioning error scaled using a specified scaling factor.

  • Patent number: 10671881
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is described comprising a processor configured to access a template of image elements. The processor is configured to search an image which is larger than the template to find a region which is similar to the template, where similarity is measured using a similarity metric. The similarity metric comprises a normalized cross correlation function which is modified to include at least one factor related to a statistic of both the template and the region.

  • Patent number: 10262208
Abstract: A method is presented for making an automatic selection of a media file type. The method comprises receiving a sequence of digital images of a scene; performing object classification in at least one of the received digital images to determine the presence and class of an object in the scene. The method also comprises performing motion detection in the received sequence of digital images to determine the presence and salience of motion in the scene. A media file type is automatically selected on the basis of the above analysis, and is selected from a still image and a cinemagraph. In some embodiments, the selection also includes a living image. A media file of the selected type is then created.

  • Publication number: 20190066311
Abstract: A score is computed of a first feature for each of a plurality of pixels in a current image of a sequence of images, the sequence of images depicting a moving object to be tracked. A score of a second feature is computed for each of the plurality of pixels of the current image. A blending factor is dynamically computed according to information from previous images of the sequence. The first feature score and the second feature score are combined using the blending factor to produce a blended score; and a location in the current image is computed as a tracked location of the object depicted in the image, on the basis of the blended scores.

  • Patent number: 10070053
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a camera for determining an image adjustment parameter. The method includes receiving a plurality of images representing an image view, detecting from the plurality of images events of a specific event type, identifying a location within the image view where the event of the specific type is present, determining a presence value of each of the identified locations, and determining an image adjustment parameter based on data from an adjustment location within the image view. The adjustment location is determined based on the presence value in each location of a plurality of locations within the image view.
