  • Publication number: 20170236112
Abstract: Computer-based crowdfunding may provide network communication between at least one user device, a funding module, and a timing module over at least one network. Data from the at least one user device, the funding module, and the timing module may be processed by at least one processor, sent to at least one server, and stored in at least one data repository. The funding module and timing module may interact with each other and/or the network in real-time over a first time period, a second time period, and a third period. After the time periods elapse, funds received in the funding module from supporters may be transferred to competitors and/or returned to supporters over the network.

  • Patent number: 7782221
Abstract: An emergency shutdown detection device for a gas turbine includes a longish, mechanically severable sensor element (5), in which at least one electric line (1 to 4) is provided, with at least one resistor (R1 to R3) being electrically connected to the electric line such that upon severance of the sensor element (5), the electrically connected resistor is electrically disconnected from the electrical line to alter a resistance value for the electrical line.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 5, 2007
Date of Patent: August 24, 2010
Assignee: Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG
    Inventors: Gustavo Arguello, Clemens Chaskel
  • Patent number: 7595568
Abstract: In the case of an ignition system for a gas turbine engine, the power (P1, P2) intended for the two ignition units (1, 2) is supplied via a power supply bus (10, 14) each comprising a standard bus (11, 11?; 15, 15?) and an emergency bus (12, 12?; 16, 16?), and a relay (13, 17) connected to the respective power supply line to the corresponding ignition unit. In the event of failure of power supply in a supply line for power P1 or P2, the corresponding relay will automatically (mechanically) switch over to the respective other power supply line, thus ensuring that the function of the ignition unit is maintained, even if—for whatever reasons—power supply to one or the other ignition unit is interrupted.
