Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for generating a view for a camera system, in particular a surround-view camera system for a vehicle, including a control device and at least one camera, wherein the view is generated by means of the following method steps: capturing at least one object from the environment data from the at least one camera; generating a bounding box for the object; projecting the object onto a ground plane; creating a bounding shape which includes the bounding box and the projected object; creating a mesh structure or grid structure for the bounding shape; and arranging the mesh structure or grid structure within the bounding box, wherein the bounding shape is adapted, in particular by image scaling and/or image distortion, to the size of the bounding box.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for generating a surround view of the surroundings of a motor vehicle, wherein the motor vehicle has a vehicle body and components which can move relative to the vehicle body, in particular deflectable components. The method includes generating a first mask which represents a silhouette of the vehicle body projected onto a background and generating a second mask which represents a silhouette of the movable components of the motor vehicle projected onto the background in the current state. The method further includes generating a mask of the motor vehicle by combining the first mask with the second mask and generating the surround view of the surroundings of the motor vehicle on the basis of camera images of vehicle cameras of the motor vehicle using the mask of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for a camera system, in particular a surround-view camera system, for a vehicle, which has a control device, multiple surround-view cameras, and a display apparatus. The method includes: generating an original image (step I), generating a simulated image of the original image, the simulated image simulating a coloration of the original image resulting from an ascertainable visual impairment, generating a differential image between the original image and the simulated image, determining edges in the differential image, generating a superimposed image by superimposing the original image and the edges of the differential image, and displaying the superimposed image using the display apparatus.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for automated correction of erroneous entry of alphanumeric item identifiers using distance evaluation. One method comprises obtaining a message sent by a user, wherein the message comprises an erroneous first alphanumeric identifier of a given item associated with the user; obtaining an identifier of the user; identifying one or more second alphanumeric identifiers of one or more items previously associated with the identifier of the user; evaluating a distance of the first alphanumeric identifier from the one or more second alphanumeric identifiers; selecting a given one of the second alphanumeric identifiers based on the distance; and initiate a processing of the message using the selected second alphanumeric identifier. The user may confirm the selected second alphanumeric identifier. The user may be identified using a telephone number, an email address, a social security number or other government-issued identifier, and/or portions or combinations thereof.

Abstract: A method of determining a risk state for a complex industrial process includes graphically depicting a process flow diagram on a graphical user interface with a computer system, the process flow diagram including one or more side streams of the complex industrial process, monitoring one or more process parameters of the one or more side streams, and calculating a risk state for each side stream with the computer system based on the one or more process parameters. The risk state of each side stream is then graphically depicted on the process flow diagram by assigning a probability indicator to each side stream based on the risk state calculated by the computer system, wherein the probability indicator comprises a graphical output recognizable by a user and corresponding to a predetermined scale of failure probability.
