Patent number: 5310240Abstract: A holding device for vertically positioning a window pane in the window frame of a motor vehicle, including a retaining part adapted to be secured in a transverse part of the frame, a supporting part moveable with respect to the retaining part and adapted to engage with an edge of the window pane, and a spring acting between the supporting part and the retaining part for urging the supporting part in the direction of the plane of the window pane towards the edge. The retaining part has a pawl pivotally connected to it for movement between a holding position where it engages the supporting part and holds it and the spring in an initial tensioned position and a release position where it is located in a recess in the retaining part and allows the spring to urge the supporting part against the edge of the window pane. The pawl is resiliently biased toward the holding position and located so that it will be pushed into the release position by the window pane as it is being inserted into the window frame.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1992Date of Patent: May 10, 1994Assignee: A. Patent number: 5093965Abstract: A plastic button having a tiltable button cap (1) with a rotationally symmetrical bottom part (3) that can be riveted to a carrier cloth (5) by means of a tack (6). To provide a permanent connection between button cap (1) and bottom part (3) even under frequent tilting motions, there is formed on button cap (1) a hollow shank (2) that terminates at its lower end in an inwardly projecting annular flange (8). The bottom part (3) made separate therefrom has, at is upper end, a conically tapering collar (10) which can be driven into hollow shank (2), with elastic expansion of annular flange (8), and which, in the joined together state, engages with its shoulders (11) behind the annular flnage (8).Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1990Date of Patent: March 10, 1992Assignee: A. Patent number: 4747458Abstract: The object of the present invention is to greatly simplify the final control of a sensitive, active robot moving in a passive environment. It consists of equipping the robot with a plurality of directional proximetric transducers C.sub.i, to which are allocated, for a given operating mode, virtual elementary actions making it possible to determine a control vector of the different actuators (4.1-4.2) responsible for the robot movements. The virtual elementary action allocated to each sensor is weighted by a virtual mass or coefficient m.sub.i. The center of gravity of the virtual masses m.sub.i preferably coincides with the control frame of the robot. The invention is more particularly usable in robotized remote manipulation.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1986Date of Patent: May 31, 1988Assignees: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique, InriaInventors: Guy Andre, Bernard Espiau

Patent number: 4680834Abstract: A device for tying cable bundles including a plastic tightening strap of indeterminate length having transverse ribs and a separate locking piece also of plastic, having an orifice for receipt of two thicknesses of the tightening strap and two tongues which project into the orifice and interact with the transverse ribs on the strap. The tongues, each of which carries at least one engaging tooth, are formed of inner walls of the locking piece opposite one another so that they can flex open to permit the strap to pass through in one direction, but which spring back to prevent the strap from passing back through in the opposite direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1986Date of Patent: July 21, 1987Assignee: A. Patent number: 4614321Abstract: A pipe clip comprising a flexible, yet relatively stiff U-shaped holder having two upwardly extending sidewalls with each having a catch element at its upper end and an auxiliary holder open at the top and of relatively softer elastic material. The auxiliary holder receives the pipe and is pressed down into the open top of the U-shaped holder where it is held in place by catch elements of the U-shaped holder and closed about a major portion of the periphery of the pipe. The auxiliary holder also has outwardly extending projections that initially engage behind the catch elements of the U-shaped holder to hold the auxiliary holder in position for receipt of the pipe before it is pressed and locked into place in the U-shaped holder.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1985Date of Patent: September 30, 1986Assignee: A. Patent number: 4505006Abstract: A clamp of a resilient material for holding circular objects of different diameters to a fixed surface, the clamp has a circular member having side rims, a central passageway, two ends that when spread apart provide access for the object to the passageway and a leg at each end that cooperate, when the ends of the member are compressed together, to hold the clamp to a fixed surface. A plurality of holding fingers extend outwardly from both side rims of the circular member along the length of the object and inwardly so that they converge conically toward each other and the object being held.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1984Date of Patent: March 19, 1985Assignee: A. Patent number: 4478381Abstract: An elastic pipe clamp having a lower yoke, a fastener foot or the like for anchoring the lower yoke to a fixed surface and a cooperating upper yoke, the pipe being securely held between the yokes when they are locked together in a positive manner. A hinge-band pivotally connects one end of the upper yoke to one end of the lower yoke and mutually engaging locking hooks are provided on the opposite ends of the yoke from the hinge band for locking the yokes together. At least two (2) beaks on the hinged end of one of the yokes curve inwardly with respect to and over the hinge-band, the beaks being adjacent to the outer edges of the yoke with their outer arcs being tangent to the inside wall of the yoke. Cooperating recesses are provided in the other yoke that are open on their outer sides and have upper and lower walls with a radius curvature similar to the curvature of the beaks, whereby the beaks substantially fill the recesses when the clamp is closed.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1982Date of Patent: October 23, 1984Assignee: A. Patent number: 4437633Abstract: A fastening clamp which includes a bottom plate joining two upstanding side walls. A flexible holding tongue extends downwardly from the upper or free end of each side wall toward the center of the clamp. A flexible support wall extends downwardly from the upper portion of each side wall also toward the center of the clamp. The lower rims of the support walls terminate approximately centrally between the lower or holding rims of the tongues and the bottom plate. A groove is formed in the center of the bottom plate extending parallel to the support walls and side walls.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1981Date of Patent: March 20, 1984Assignee: A. Patent number: 4125917Abstract: Disclosed is a molding clamp for securing trim molding to a support body. The clamp includes a base having gripping heads along its opposite sides connected to the base by flat elastic strips. One side of the base includes a rivet for securing the clamp to the support body. The gripping heads are movable toward the base upon application of the molding to the clamp and engage the molding to retain it on the clamp under the bias of the strips. The gripping heads and base have cooperating flanges which relieve bending stresses on the elastic strips in a direction normal to the clamp and support body when the molding is secured to the clamp and support body.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1977Date of Patent: November 21, 1978Assignee: A.
