    Abstract: A corner deflector for use with an eaves trough wherein the eaves trough is located proximate a valley in a roof, the deflector comprising first and second segments with a fold line separating the segments, at least one flange extending outwardly from a bottom edge of each of the segments, the flange being such as to permit securement to a gutter guard used with the eaves troughs. The deflector prevents overflow at the corners associated with roof valleys.

The guard and gutter are attached directly to a supporting structure by means of screws or other mechanical fastening devices.

    Abstract: A device for protecting a gutter wherein the gutter has a generally C-shaped portion extending from a front wall thereof, the guard member having an elongated configuration with a generally planar central portion and first and second longitudinally extending sides on either side of the generally planar central portion, a plurality of apertures extending through the generally planar central portion, a first side of the guard member having an upwardly extending portion designed to fit within the recess, and a second side of the guard member having an upwardly extending wall designed to abut the rear wall of the gutter. The device and eaves trough may be secured by placing a fastening member through the rear upper wall of the eaves through and a second side of the guard member.
