Abstract: A hub device associated with a vehicle determines: communication devices presently in communication with the hub device; and respective selected talkgroups associated with the communication devices. As a number of the communication devices in communication with the hub device changes, the hub device dynamically changes a main talkgroup chosen from the respective selected talkgroups based on information associated with one or more of: the communication devices; the respective selected talkgroups; and users associated with the communication devices. When a call is received on the main talkgroup, the hub device: controls speakers, of respective communication devices associated with the main talkgroup, to mute; and provides audio of the call via a hub device speaker.

Abstract: A process of improving quality of audio captured corresponding to an incident. An electronic computing device determines that an incident is likely to occur at a particular location within a field of view of a camera when the analysis of the video recordings indicate a repeated pattern of occurrences of the incident at the particular location within the field of view. When the device determines that audio quality of the audio of the video recordings captured corresponding to the particular location is below a predetermined audio quality threshold, the electronic computing device identifies a position or orientation relative to the particular location for placing an external microphone and improving the audio quality of the audio captured corresponding to the particular location. The electronic computing device then provides an electronic notification with a recommendation to place the external microphone at the identified position or orientation relative to the particular location.

Abstract: Techniques for providing assistance to a caller whose location is unknown are provided. A request for assistance from a caller whose location is unknown is received at a public safety answering point from a calling device. A list of devices proximate to the calling devices is received from the calling device whose location is unknown. It is identified when a device in the list of devices proximate to the calling device has been registered as belonging to a person willing to provide local assistance. A request is sent to the identified device to provide local assistance to the caller whose location is unknown.

Abstract: Systems and devices for providing a non-touchscreen enabled application through a touchscreen. One embodiment provides a touchscreen and an electronic processor communicably coupled to the touchscreen. The electronic processor configured to generate a touch interface comprising a representation of a non-touch interface provided by a non-touchscreen enabled application, provide the touch interface to the touchscreen, receive a command from the touchscreen corresponding to an interaction with the representation of the non-touch interface, translate the command into at least one event for updating a state of the non-touchscreen enabled application, and provide the at least one event to the non-touchscreen enabled application.
