    Abstract: An improved animal trap is provided in which a movable jaw is held in the set position and a trigger mechanism activated by entrance of an animal into the trap causes release of a latch member to allow a movable jaw to sharply and quickly strike the animal within the trap. The movable jaw whips rapidly into the animal generally causing immediate death of the animal by a sharp blow on the neck of the animal.
