  • Patent number: 11047074
Abstract: ABSTRACT This weaving machine (2) includes a structure (4) able to support a plurality of warp threads (16) extending in a first direction, a heddles mechanism (18) capable of selectively moving at least some of the plurality of warp threads (16) to form first and second sheets (28, 30) of warp threads, and at least one weft-thread feed spool (38). The weaving machine (2) also includes at least one support shuttle (44) for the feed spool and an actuating device (32) able to control a movement of the shuttle (44) between the first and second sheets (28, 30) of warp threads in at least one second direction transverse to the first direction, in both senses relative to the second direction, to continuously lay the weft thread (43) coming from the feed spool (38) between the sheets (28, 30) and in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 8910589
Abstract: A device is provided for depositing a treatment substance on the surface of a moving thread. The device comprises a tank configured to contain a liquid solution of the substance that is used to deposit the substance on the surface of the thread. The device also includes at least one nozzle having a nozzle inlet configured to receive said solution. The at least one nozzle is directed to spray the received solution towards the thread with a spray velocity in a form of jets, and the jets converge on the thread to adjust a thickness of the solution remaining on the thread by removing excess liquid entrained by the thread. The device further includes a pump that is coupled to the nozzle inlet and a treatment apparatus. The pump is configured to regulate the spray velocity according to a run speed of the thread.

  • Publication number: 20110143037
Abstract: Device for continuously depositing a treatment substance (20) on the surface of a thread (10), comprising: impregnation means (2) for impregnating the thread by dipping it into a bath designed to contain a solution of the treatment substance (20) in liquid form, through which bath the thread (10) runs when the device is in operation; draining means (3), placed downstream of the impregnation means (2), capable of removing the excess liquid (22) entrained by the thread; treatment means (4) placed downstream of the draining means (3), capable of making the liquid solution remaining on the thread solidify; and means (51, 52, 53, 54) suitable for guiding and running the thread (10) from the inlet to the outlet of the device along a direction df and at a speed Vf, wherein the draining means (3) include means capable of spraying said treatment liquid with an appropriately regulated velocity Vj towards the thread (10) in the form of jets (21) that converge in directions dj making an obtuse angle ? with the direction

  • Publication number: 20100247808
Abstract: A method of depositing a solute (34) on a metal thread (4), comprising the steps of: depositing a liquid solution (3), formed from a volatile solvent and said solute (34), on the thread (4); and then rapidly raising the temperature of the thread (4) to a temperature above the vaporization temperature of the solvent so as to vaporize the solvent placed in contact with the surface of said thread (4) and to form vapour bubbles (32) which, by expanding, generate a pressure pulse that ejects the liquid (33) remaining on the periphery of the thread.
