  • Patent number: 9701457
Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a flexible container for use by the end user as a cooking utensil. Said container comprises a front and rear panel formed of a food safe material and sealed at three sides, the rear panel being extended beyond the front panel on the unsealed fourth side to form a flap. On the upper side of the flap is formed an adhesive strip provided with a removable cover strip intended to be removed by the user when closing the container. The user is instructed to fold the container across both layers rather than simply across the junction of the flap and front panel in order to seal it prior to cooking. This creates a container which is effectively sealed but which is capable of releasing excess pressure above that level needed to steam the contents thoroughly.

  • Patent number: 7909051
Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a cover (11) for an outdoor clothes airer (10) having at least three radially-extending arms (2) supporting an array of clothes lines (7), the cover comprising a sheet (3) of waterproof material which is resistant to ultra-violet rays and dimensioned to extend radially beyond the ends of said radial arms above the clothes lines, arranged to drain outwards, and provided with a central supporting means (16) and a peripheral tensioning means (5) such as a drawstring or plurality thereof for securing the sheet to the airer and a circumferential skirt (6) of an air permeable netting material finished with a weighted hem (9). Access to the laundry contained within the invention is easily achieved by lifting a side or sides of the circumferential skirt and laying it or them on top of the cover sheet, after which the laundry may be laced within the skirt of removed therefrom and the skirt may be let down again.

  • Patent number: 7364762
Abstract: Food heating method and apparatus using containing means, e.g., a pre-formed container 1, such as a relatively flat pouch or envelope comprising at least one panel made of flexible multilayer film with layers 3 and 5 of Perfluoralkoxy (PFA) and Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP), respectively, on a core layer 3 of Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). A sandwich or other foodstuff 23, baked beans or french fries, for example, “chips” or “frites”, can be heated by being inserted in the containing means which is then heated by a radiant heat applying device, such as an electric bread toaster. The containing means can be wholly of the multilayer film. The containing means can be in the form of an open bag, which is reusable, or it can be a closed bag sold with the food therein.
