  • Publication number: 20080270273
Abstract: Method and system providing real-time validation and reconciliation of invoice formatting process. Specifically, the validation performed is a set of predefined validation rules that is applied on data stored on databases of the billing environment and on formatted invoice files which is the output of the invoice formatting tool. The validation rules may be applied at every stage of the invoice formatting life cycle. Furthermore a user of the disclosed system may add new validation rules to correspond the business logic that changes from time to time. This is done by using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows the user to define (e.g. by drag-and-drop) the parameters that have to be validated, the type of validation and the type of report required. After defining the new rule, it becomes immediately active and may be used in the billing environment during invoice formatting process as an integrated validation system.
