Sealing device with a brush gasket and flexible washer for a high-pressure turbine of a turbomachine
Patent number: 7290769Abstract: A sealing device for sealing between two static portions of a turbomachine includes a brush gasket formed by a plurality of resilient bristles which are, at least in part, held in a housing. Each bristle has a main portion and a secondary portion interconnected by a bent portion. The secondary portion has a free end ensuring leaktight contact with a surface that is to be sealed of the other static portion. The sealing device further includes a flexible washer of bent section which has a free end bearing both against the free ends of the secondary portions of the bristles of the brush gasket, and against the surface that is to be sealed so that the free ends of the secondary portions of the bristles of the brush gasket are permanently in contact with the surface that is to be sealed.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2005Date of Patent: November 6, 2007Assignee: Snecma MoteursInventors: Daniel Plona, Guy Dusserre-Telmon -
Publication number: 20070005295Abstract: A method of inspecting the profile of the connection zone between the cylindrical portion and the taper of a roller for a turbomachine roller bearing. The surface profile is geometrically defined by a first zone corresponding to the taper of the roller, a second zone corresponding to the connection between the cylindrical portion and the taper, and a third zone corresponding to the cylindrical portion of the roller. The method consists in taking a measurement of the surface profile of the roller; on the basis of a calculation of the first derivative of the measured profile, in calculating straight line segments for each of the geometrical zones of the roller, where said straight line segments model the first derivative of the measured profile; in calculating the radii of curvature of the surface profile of the roller by taking the first derivative of the straight line segments; and in comparing the calculated radii of curvature with predefined threshold values in order to verify continuity thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2006Publication date: January 4, 2007Applicant: SNECMAInventors: Guy Dusserre-Telmon, Laurent Leeder

Patent number: 7040811Abstract: A rolling bearing defines a separation between an oil enclosure and an air enclosure. The bearing includes rolling elements defining a first side opening and a second side opening, and includes an annular junction piece having an annular contact surface with the structural piece. An oil film is disposed at the annular contact surface between the structural piece and the junction piece and is laterally defined by at least two sealing rings. A sealing device covers at least part of the first side opening. A first oil circulation device feeds the oil film with oil and feeds the rolling elements beside the oil enclosure with oil from the oil film. A second oil circulation device, independent of the first, recovers the oil used for lubricating the rolling elements and is arranged in such a manner as to avoid oil flowing towards the air enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2003Date of Patent: May 9, 2006Assignee: Snecma MoteursInventors: Guy Dusserre-Telmon, Daniel Plona

Publication number: 20050236241Abstract: A link including a rod with a connection member at each end with an axis passing through both connection members. The rod includes a fusible zone as a narrow section lying between a first rod portion connected to a first connection member and a second rod portion connected to a second connection member. The fusible zone breaks when tensile force to which the link is subjected is greater than a predetermined value. The two rod portions are inseparable in event of the fusible zone breaking by a cylinder coaxial about the axis and secured to the first rod portion, and having an end wall through which the second rod portion passes. The second rod portion includes a collar that can slide into the cylinder if the fusible zone breaks. The inside wall of the cylinder includes teeth configured to be broken by the collar if the fusible zone breaks.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2003Publication date: October 27, 2005Inventors: Guy Dusserre-Telmon, Gerard Etoile
