Abstract: A method of repairing a slat conveyor includes an anchor bar and a ratchet puller. The anchor bar preferably includes an anchor frame and a pair of C-clamps. A first C-clamp is pivotally coupled to a first end of the anchor bar with at least one link and the second C-clamp is coupled to a second end of the anchor bar with at least one link. The anchor bar is secured to conveyor frame with the pair of C-clamps. A first end of the ratchet puller is secured to the anchor bar and to a first end of a broken conveyor chain. A second end of the ratchet puller is attached to a second end of the broken conveyor chain. The ratchet puller is actuated, until the first and second ends of the broken chain meet.
