Abstract: Medium-calibre feed system, of the type comprising an ammunition feed system and a firing and loading system with a barrel, for example, which is characterized in that it comprises an ammunition box in which the ammunition is stored without being linked together by any medium, a drive mechanism for loading the ammunition, round by round, to the loading and firing system, an energy source for controlling the drive mechanism during the firing of a burst, the latter comprising a link of the elastic type interposed between the ammunition box and the firing and loading system, this link consisting, for example, of a chain conveyor.

Abstract: A medium caliber automatic firearm with a high firing rate including a star drum which revolves in indexed fashion and which is in line with and driven by a cylinder star wheel, whose rotation is synchronized with that of the star drum, is mounted to the side of and is parallel to the star drum. A stripper is mounted between the star wheel and the star drum in order to separate cartridges from links at a point where the ammunition belt comes out of the star wheel while allowing the links to be evacuated from the firearm. A mechanism is also included which introduces the cartridges into successive chambers of the cylinder, the cartridges being lined up with the chambers by a star drum as the latter rotates.

Abstract: A sound insulating panel is provided having a support layer of honeycomb material, and a pair of covering layers, at least one of which is air-permeable. The support, honeycomb layer has a compressive strength greater than the compressive strength of each of the covering layers, in a direction transverse to the faces thereof, and has a tensile strength which is lesser, in the general direction parallel to the faces, than that each of the covering layers. The support layer is compacted over a part of its extent to a substantially closed layer of reduced thickness, this being, preferably, in the region of the border. A method of making an insulating construction element as described.
