  • Patent number: 7143877
Abstract: A link including a rod with a connection member at each end with an axis passing through both connection members. The rod includes a fusible zone as a narrow section lying between a first rod portion connected to a first connection member and a second rod portion connected to a second connection member. The fusible zone breaks when tensile force to which the link is subjected is greater than a predetermined value. The two rod portions are inseparable in event of the fusible zone breaking by a cylinder coaxial about the axis and secured to the first rod portion, and having an end wall through which the second rod portion passes. The second rod portion includes a collar that can slide into the cylinder if the fusible zone breaks. The inside wall of the cylinder includes teeth configured to be broken by the collar if the fusible zone breaks.

  • Patent number: 6389887
Abstract: A process for the early detection of a possible fault in a rotary component of an engine wherein a signal representing an acceleration is stored in a sequential manner; the stored signal is transformed into a frequency signal a spectral coherence calculation is performed between said frequency signal and the same frequency signal shifted by frequency values predetermined as a function of the speed of the engine; the sequences are counted for which a correlation peak appears for one of the predetermined frequencies and a fault is deemed to be present if for a number P of consecutive sequences the number of sequences with a correlation peak is greater than a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 6279852
Abstract: The drive system of a propeller driven transport aircraft has first and second propeller doublets mounted in the plane of the aircraft wings, each propeller doublet including two propellers disposed symmetrically on opposite sides of the central longitudinal axis of the aircraft. The first and second propeller doublets are driven independently of one another by first and second engine units via first and second independent drive trains respectively, the first and second engine units being disposed side by side in the aircraft fuselage.

  • Patent number: 5749660
Abstract: A bearing assembly having dynamic drainage for lubrication oil which incls rings which are provided with races with a conical-shaped cross-section which the balls contact at pairs of side contact points. The central circumference of each ring is free; cooling oil drillings are drilled in it. This arrangement gives better oil circulation characteristics, thus improving the bearing efficiency and less heat is dissipated. Thus higher speed can be expected. The drillings responsible for drainage are inclined in the direction of rotation in order to facilitate drainage outside the roller bearing.

  • Patent number: 5700011
Abstract: Sealing unit made up of a floating body placed between a stator and a rotor, axially mobile along the stator and carrying sealing joints between a high pressure area and a low pressure area separated by the rotor. Another pair of joints and by, by stopping against rotor when the latter is displaced axially, allows a resultant pressure force to be exerted which moves floating body in the same direction as the rotor to reach a position of balance in which the elastic joints operate in satisfactory manner without being subjected to excessive wear and without breaking the seal.
