  • Publication number: 20240087165
Abstract: There are provided methods and systems for estimating the mass of occupants in a vehicle cabin comprising obtaining multiple images of the occupants, comprising a sequence of two dimensional (2D) images and three dimensional (3D) images of the vehicle cabin captured by an image sensor, applying a pose detection algorithm on each of the obtained sequences of 2D images to yield one or more skeleton representations of the occupants and combining the one or more 3D images of said sequence of 3D images with the skeleton representations of the occupants to yield skeleton models and analyze the skeleton models to extract one or more features of each of the occupants and further process the one or more extracted features of the skeleton models to estimate the mass of the occupants.

  • Patent number: 10925606
Abstract: An apparatus for coupling two elongated tissue portions of a subject, such as two portions of a ruptured tendon, comprising first and second repair elements, each repair element comprising a distal end configured for insertion into the tissue portion, an elongated body configured to extend axially within the tissue portion and to engage the tissue, and a proximal end. In some embodiments, at least one of the first and second repair elements comprises, at the proximal end, an integrally formed connector for coupling the proximal end of the first repair element to a proximal end of the second repair element, to attach between the two tissue portions.

  • Patent number: 9877713
Abstract: An apparatus configured for coupling two portions of tissue of a subject, such as two portions of a transected tendon. In some embodiments, the apparatus comprises a first and second helical element and a locking element. Each helical element is configured to be coupled to a portion of tissue, and the locking element is configured to couple the first helical element to the second helical element such that the helical elements are collinear.

  • Publication number: 20080038326
Abstract: The invention relates to dosing systems which involve water-soluble or water dispersible products containing ingredients embedded within and/or coated upon a water-soluble film which are released at a prescribed rate into an aqueous environment through one or more perforated less readily soluble water-soluble films. The dosing system can be used for delivering pharmaceutical active ingredients externally or internally to a human or animal body, and can be embodied in the form of a patch that is applied to a site to be treated via a water soluble adhering layer (1) that adheres to the site with ingredients(s) provided by a carrier layer (3) sandwiched between a perforated layer (2) for delivery of the ingredients to the site and a non-perforated protecting layer (4).
