  • Patent number: 8506074
Abstract: Ophthalmic lens including at least one spherical face with an optical center and a geometrical center, and having in succession a top vision region, an intermediate vision region and a bottom vision region, with a principal meridian of progression traversing the three vision regions of the aspherical face, the lens being noteworthy in that the top vision region is adapted for mid-distance vision, the bottom vision region is adapted for near-distance vision, and the intermediate vision region is adapted for intermediate distance vision, and in that the optical center of the aspherical face is in the intermediate vision region, the optical center coinciding with the geometrical center of aspherical face. This lens is particularly suitable for people with emmetropic longsightedness.

  • Publication number: 20090323019
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for producing a lens (6), one side of which (9, 10) has a complex multifocal or progressive or regressive multifocal surface (7). This method comprises the following steps: 1—forming a mold (1) composed of two parts (2, 3), each having an imprint (4, 5); 2—machining at least one of the imprints (4, 5), via a first machining with a digitally controlled, micrometrically precise machine using a computer file of tool movement points defining a complex surface (7), and a nanometric finish machining with a digitally controlled diamond turning tool; 3—injecting a thermoplastic polymer-based material into the mold (1). The invention also concerns a complex lens made of injected thermoplastic polymer, particularly methyl polymethacrylate.

  • Patent number: 6054269
Abstract: Polynucleotides and oligonucleotides for identification of species of the Streptococcus genus and the Enterococcus genus are provided. The polynucleotides and oligonucleotides are useful as probes and primers. Polypeptides expressed by the polynucleotides and oligonucleotides are useful for the preparation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies that recognize the polypeptides.
