  • Publication number: 20070193164
Abstract: The floor structure has a base layer fastened to floor joists, a resilient layer laid over the base layer, and a top layer mounted over the resilient layer. The top layer has a stiffness that is greater than a stiffness of the base layer. The top layer is fastened to the base layer by wood screws that are placed substantially along a median between two adjacent floor joists. Each screw has a threaded portion extending simultaneously in both the top and the base layers. The installation of screws through the top and the base layers causes a backlash in the advance of the screws upon entering the base layer, thereby causing the occurrence of a larger gap between the layers as compared with an installation using nails. The larger gap relaxes a pressure on the foam layer and reduces the transmission of sound energy to the joists.

  • Publication number: 20050026014
Abstract: A polymer electrochemical generator having a plurality of electrochemical cells, each including at least one current collecting terminals, as well as a resilient heat sink material positioned adjacent and in mechanical contact with the current collecting terminals. The resilient heat sink material is electrically resistive and thermally conductive. A thermally conductive structural housing having walls encloses the plurality of electrochemical cells and the resilient heat sink material. The walls of the structural housing are positioned adjacent the resilient heat sink material and are in thermal contact therewith, for dissipating thermal energy generated by the plurality of electrochemical cells.

  • Publication number: 20030122369
Abstract: A product in the form of a thin, even very thin, sheet of textile material or non-woven material, which product is used in temporary decoration as a covering surface forming a display screen or a ceiling, especially for the get-up of exhibition sites, is marked with a linear inscription distributed in the direction of the characteristic lines of the product. The linear inscription is formed by a combination of dots and dashes representing coded signs. The line is a cutting line of the sheet.
