  • Patent number: 8976895
Abstract: Method for calibrating a linearizer and linearized electronic component the method comprises predistortion, in a predistortion linearizer, of a signal upstream of an electronic component to compensate nonlinear distortion. Determining predistortion setting parameters comprises applying a bifrequency test signal to the component and measuring the relative amplitudes of the lines at the output of the component. A variable indicative of the magnitude |Kp| of the AM/PM conversion coefficient of the component is calculated on the basis of these measurements. The predistortion setting parameters are adjusted so as to minimize |Kp|. The method may in particular be implemented in a linearized amplifier device and in an amplifier test bench.

    Assignee: Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales
Inventors: Jacques Sombrin, Xavier Giraud, Alexandre Guerin, Guy Lesthievent, Jean-Pierre Millerioux, Xavier Deplancq

  • Patent number: 5844936
Abstract: A method for eliminating interference signals in a direct sequence spread spectrum link involves frequency detection of interference signals by comparison of the spectrum of the composite input signal with a threshold and filtering of the composite input signal by a finite impulse response filter using rapid convolution. The detection of threshold is automatically controlled by using an estimate of the spectral input density after eliminating large interference signals.

  • Patent number: 5798731
Abstract: The method of the invention is mixed and uses, in the forward link, the measurement of the phase of tones modulating a carrier and, in the backward link, a spectrum spread by pseudonoise code, which makes it possible to date the reception of the message.Application to the location of miscellaneous moving objects (land, sea, air, etc.).
