Abstract: A method is disclosed of processing emergency call transfer requests by an entry server of an IMS core network. The method includes configuring a table associating at least one emergency call session transfer number with a plurality of emergency call session transfer nodes, each node being identified in the table by an address. Upon receiving a request to transfer an emergency call session from a first access network to a second access network, the request including an emergency call session transfer number, the table is used to determine at least one address of a transfer node associated with the transfer number contained in the request to transfer the request. The transfer request is then sent to the at least one determined address.

Abstract: A registration server in an IP network is provided. The server is configured to act, after receiving a request for an initial registration or for refreshing a registration with the IP network, or for an initial subscription or for refreshing a subscription to a given service made available on the IP network, to select for the client device sending the request a value for the corresponding refresh period. The server is also configured to select the value as a function, at least, of the type of authentication used by the client device for authenticating itself with the IP network.

Abstract: A serving call server control function (S-CSCF) server in an IMS network is configured to receive a service request targeting a client device belonging to the IMS network and under the charge of the S-CSCF server. The S-CSCF server uses information elements contained in the service request to perform verifications, including: determining that the requested service is a telephone service; and determining that the user of the target client device targeted in the service request has not subscribed to a telephone service with the operator of the IMS network. If the result of the verifications is positive, the S-CSCF server directs the service request to a telephone network to which the target client device belongs. The server is applicable to subscribers of an IMS network benefiting from non-conversational services in packet mode from the IMS network, but having telephone services supplied thereto by a circuit-switched network.
