    Abstract: Process for the preparation of aminophenols with an increased proportion of the meta isomer comprising reacting hydrogen peroxide in a superacid liquid medium with anilines, N-alkylaniline, or N,N-dialkylanilines for a time and a temperature, ranging from about -50.degree. C. to 0.degree. C., sufficient to form the aminophenols.
