  • Publication number: 20170056938
Abstract: The present document describes a device for clearing an area around an elevated object. The device comprises: a main frame; a blower device operably mounted on the main frame for blowing high flow air towards the area around the elevated object; and a sweeping device operably mounted to and extending from the main frame for clearing the area around the elevated object. The present document further describes a method for clearing the area around an elevated object.

  • Patent number: 9542432
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to support multitenant data in an EclipseLink environment. EclipseLink supports shared multitenant tables using tenant discriminator columns, allowing an application to be re-used for multiple tenants and have all their data co-located. Tenants can share the same schema transparently, without affecting one another and can use non-multitenant entity types as per usual. This functionality is flexible enough to allow for its usage at an Entity Manager Factory level or with individual Entity Manager's based on the application's needs. Support for multitenant entities can be done though the usage of a multitenant annotation or <multitenant> xml element configured in an eclipselink-orm.xml mapping file. The multitenant annotation can be used on an entity or mapped superclass and is used in conjunction with a tenant discriminator column or <tenant-discriminator-column> xml element.

  • Publication number: 20070185909
Abstract: A method in a computer system for authoring media content for a computer application is provided. The authoring is accomplished by making use of a hierarchical structure including media objects, containers to group objects, and meta-containers to group containers and objects, where the media objects are working copies of provided media files. The hierarchical structure is such that when a property or behaviour is assigned to a container, this property is automatically shared to the objects and container therein. Similarly, the containers and objects included in a meta-container share the properties and behaviours assigned to their parent meta-container. Such a method and system can be implemented as an audio authoring tool for video game where a higher-level additional hierarchical structure is provided on top of a lower-level hierarchical structure to route sound assets organized and characterized through the lower-level hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 6144406
Abstract: The panoramic camera according to the invention has a housing having first and second sections, coaxial with a rotation axis. The second section can be driven in rotation about the axis with respect to the first section by a motor connected to a gear. A lens is mounted on the second section of the housing and is both perpendicular and radial to the axis. A linear CCD array is placed at the focal point of the lens in order to capture the images transmitted by the lens. An analog-to-digital converter is connected to the CCD array to convert the analog signal generated by the CCD array into digital information. The digital information is stored on a hard disk drive, and includes data corresponding to the azimuth of the camera. Finally, a micro-computer controls the rotation of the housing, sends a control signal to the analog-to-digital converter to digitize the image and sends a control signal to the hard disk drive to save the digital information generated by the converter.

  • Patent number: 4999984
Abstract: The blade is made of flat stock, is elongated with a series of the teeth formed along one elongated arcuate edge, the tips of the cutting teeth being disposed along a circular arc. The blade is adapted to be inserted within an elongated slit made in the cylindrical wall of the mower rotor with the teeth protruding from the rotor. The leading end of each blade is provided with an inwardly facing step adapted to rest on the cylindrical wall at the corresponding end of the slit. The trailing end of the blade has a notch to receive the rotor wall at the other end of the slit. The blade has a hole to receive a rod, extending within the rotor and carried by the latter to maintain the blade in position. Each blade has a boss protruding from a main face to prevent the blade from slipping within the rotor. The slit faces are inclined with respect to the rotational axis of the rotor, so as to maintain the blade in an inclined position, to more fully expose the successive teeth for better cutting efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4887418
Abstract: A power-driven rotor is mounted on a support and its cylindrical wall is provided with helically-arranged, elongated slits in which blades or rasps are removably inserted, the rasps having a series of teeth disposed along portions of helices co-axial with the rotor and protruding from the cylindrical wall. The apparatus is more particularly used as a grass and bush mower, and in a modified embodiment also as an ice- and snow-blower.

  • Patent number: 4011125
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for cold cure retreading of worn tires using a fully pre-cured tread band bonded in place on said tire by means of a layer of cushion gum. In order to cure the layer of cushion, gum, steam is supplied to a rubber tube disposed within the tire which itself is mounted on a suitable rim assembly, and steam at a lesser pressure is supplied to an annular steam chamber whose inner wall is constituted by a steam impervious flexible bladder that circumscribes the crown portion of the tire assembly. Cone elements are disposed on either side of the tire assembly to support the bladder and prevent excessive bulging thereof beyond the crown portion of the tire.
