  • Patent number: 7407991
Abstract: A foam control composition comprises a polydiorganosiloxane fluid comprising units of the formula where each group R, which may be the same or different, is selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 36 carbon atoms or an aryl group or aralkyl group having up to 36 carbon atoms, the mean number of carbon atoms in the groups R being at least 1.3, and an additive composition having a melting point of at least 35° C. comprising 5-50 parts by weight of a non-polar component (A) and 50-95 parts by weight of a component (B) which is miscible with component (A) and is more polar than component (A), at least one of (A) and (B) being miscible with the polysiloxane fluid.

  • Publication number: 20050143282
Abstract: An emulsion for controlled fragrance release comprises a disperse phase which is a blend of a fragrance composition and a waxy hydrophobic material having a melting point in the range 10-200° C. dispersed in a continuous phase comprising an aqueous solution of concentration at least 0.1 molar of a salt capable of ionic disassociation in water.

  • Publication number: 20040116316
Abstract: In an agglomeration process for the preparation of granules encapsulating a hydrophobic active material, the active material and a molten binder which has a melting point above ambient temperature are sprayed onto water soluble carrier particles while agitating the particles. A liquid which interacts exothermically with the carrier particles is sprayed onto the carrier particles separately from and just before or simultaneously with the active material and binder, so that the heat generated by the interaction reduces the cooling rate of the binder during the agglomeration process. For example the liquid can be water when the carrier particles have a positive heat of hydration and/or solution by water.
