  • Publication number: 20090109058
Abstract: The traffic information providing device receives traffic information corresponding to a bus stop or a platform at which the traffic information providing device is positioned from a management server for collecting traffic information from at least one public transportation means, and broadcasts the received traffic information to the traffic information receiving device that is provided within a predetermined distance from the traffic information providing device by using the ZigBee or wireless sensor network that is a wireless personal area network (WPAN). The traffic information receiving device receives traffic information from the traffic information providing device by using the ZigBee or wireless sensor network, filters the same according to a filtering condition input by the user, and outputs traffic information desired by the user.

  • Publication number: 20090106045
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method of transmitting an emergency condition using a wireless sensor network that transmits a user's emergency condition using a wireless sensor network. A wireless sensor network communication device integrated with a biological sensor is attached to a user's body in order to gather user's biological information, and transmits the user's biological information through the wireless sensor network. A repeater receives the biological information from the communication device, and sends the received biological information by using a routing protocol of the wireless sensor network. A management server receives the biological information through the repeater, analyzes the biological information, and transmits a warning signal to a user or takes emergency measures. Therefore, it is possible to detect and cope with sudden physical problems, which are generated during user's exercises and outdoor activities, at an early stage.

  • Publication number: 20080136606
Abstract: Provided are a separable device for controlling a node and a sensor network node. The separable node-control device includes: a second interface connecting a power line and a data signal line with the outside; and a power supply for supplying power to the second interface and a sensor unit, wherein the power supply and the second interface are controlled by an external control device combined with the second interface and the controller are driven by power supplied from the external device. According to the separable node-control device and the sensor network node, the node-control device is separated from the sensor network node so that the function of the sensor network node can be readily changed according to need.

  • Publication number: 20080029021
Abstract: A method for forming a silicon nitride film in a PECVD batch type chamber is provided. In the PECVD silicon nitride film deposition method, as the number of batches of processed wafers increases, a silicon nitride deposition time is gradually adjusted to be longer as each batch of wafers is processed. Therefore a uniform thickness of the silicon nitride film is maintained despite variations in deposition rates resulting from an RF plasma cleaning process.

  • Patent number: 6798172
Abstract: A battery capacity recovery apparatus and method thereof periodically conducts discharge and recharge operations for a battery used in a wireless telephone to prevent a memory effect on the battery. The battery capacity recovery apparatus includes a control unit for controlling the system of the wireless telephone, and a voltage detecting unit for measuring a voltage condition of the battery, and outputting a signal indicative of the measured voltage condition to the control unit. A recharge detecting unit is connected to a constant voltage unit and is included in a recharge device. The recharge detecting unit detects whether or not a handset unit of the telecommunication device is connected to the recharge device, and a recovery path establishing unit is adapted to establish a path for recovering the capacity of the battery under a control of the control unit.

  • Patent number: 6703811
Abstract: A battery capacity recovery apparatus performs discharging and/or recharging operations to increase the useful life of a battery. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a control unit and a counter which counts a number of times the battery has been recharged. The control unit discharges the battery when a count value of the counter equals a predetermined reference value, and then a recharging operation is performed which involves recharging the battery at different recharge rates. In another embodiment, the control unit discharges the battery when a time detected by a time detection unit equals a control time. A two-rate recharging operation may then be performed.
