    Abstract: Embodiments of a method and system providing unit level traceability for a number of die cut from a wafer are disclosed. According to some embodiments, readable marks are disposed on a carrier tape, and each readable mark is associated with one pocket of the carrier tape. A die placed in a pocket of the carrier tape has a corresponding wafer location, and this wafer location is correlated with the mark associated with that pocket. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
