    Abstract: A shirt worn by an amputee to protect the amputee against prosthesis friction and the friction caused by a prosthesis harness, the shirt having a closed distal portion corresponding to the amputee's amputation. When worn between an amputee's stump and a prosthesis, the shirt protects the amputee's stump against prosthesis friction and rubbing. A yoke or other padding can be added in the shoulder region of the shirt to further protect the amputee's shoulders against harness friction.
