  • Publication number: 20150030322
Abstract: A method for determining whether a configuration of an optical transmission interface of a first device has to be adjusted for transmitting an optical signal to a second device via an optical band-pass filter, the second device including an optical reception interface configured to enable receiving optical signals output by the optical band-pass filter and transmitted by the first device on a carrier wavelength when the carrier wavelength is included in the passband of the optical band-pass filter. A monitoring device performs: obtaining an information representative of a signal temporal shape corresponding to a symbol of an optical signal received by the second device, from the first device, via the optical band-pass filter; determining whether the configuration of the optical transmission interface of the first device has to be adjusted, on the basis of the information representative of the signal temporal shape.

  • Publication number: 20150030340
Abstract: A method for determining a presence of a locking signal in a signal received by an optical receiver device, the optical receiver device configured to be used in an optical communications network, the locking signal being a signal exchanged by optical communication devices of the optical communications network in a phase preceding setting up communications between the optical communication devices. The presence of the locking signal is determined by obtaining a direct current component or a component at twice a frequency at which the locking signal is supposed to be modulated, and by obtaining a contribution of the communication signal, if any, on the component.

  • Publication number: 20130336657
Abstract: A method configuring an optical transmission interface of at least one first device transmitting optical signals on a path to a second device on a carrier wavelength substantially equal to a nominal wavelength of an optical band-pass filter present on the path, each first device including an optical reception interface to enable receiving optical signals from the second device, the second device including an optical reception interface to enable receiving optical signals output by the first optical band-pass filter and transmitted by any first device on a carrier wavelength substantially equal to the nominal wavelength, the optical transmission interface of each first device being initially configured for transmitting optical signals on a first carrier wavelength.

  • Publication number: 20130279906
Abstract: A device and method to allow to estimate drift induced by temperature variation in a network including a frequency splitter based on a Mac Zehnder, or alike component, and to track it over time, by adding mirrors to the unused port of the Mac Zehnder components. Doing so, both OLT and ONU are able to scan a band of frequencies. The frequency corresponding to the nominal wavelength of the component will be reflected on the other port on the same side of the Mac Zehnder while other frequencies will go through the Mac Zehnder to be reflected by the mirror and come back to the emitter.

  • Patent number: 7933317
Abstract: A telecommunications transmitting device, including: an encoder configured to generate an initial signal formed by at least one reference sequence including an initial integer number of pulses dispatched over a same integer number of time windows; a transmitter configured to transmit the initial signal to a receiver; a demodulation device configured to determine that no acknowledgement from the receiver in response to the initial signal is received; and a processing unit configured to tune a second integer number of pulses constituting a second reference sequence, the second integer number being larger than the initial integer number, wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit a second signal formed by the second reference sequence including the second integer number of pulses dispatched over a same integer number of time windows.

  • Patent number: 7684500
Abstract: A method for transmitting data in the form of at least one pulse sequence included in a transmitted signal. The method includes calculating at least one detection value representative of an amount of power carried by the pulse sequence by performing integration over a tunable time duration, and comparing the detection value to at least one predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 7623478
Abstract: There are in a network comprising at least one transmitter transmitting PDUs according to an ARQ protocol, one receiver receiving transmitted PDUs and acknowledging PDUs with FeedBack Information (FBI) message(s), and a Radio Resource Management (RRM) unit allocating resource based on a TDMA scheme providing series of Time Frames (TFs). The transmitter sends PDUs to the receiver and manages a transmitter ARQ sliding window. The receiver sends back one or more FBI messages to the transmitter and manages a receiver ARQ sliding window. The transmitter, upon reception of FBI message, updates its ARQ sliding window according to received feedback acknowledgement status information, and retransmits PDUs based on its ARQ sliding window. The RRM unit receives FBI messages and manages an extended ARQ sliding window updated according to them. The RRM unit allocates an amount of forward resource and an amount of backward resource, computed based on the extended ARQ sliding window, to the transmitter.
