  • Patent number: 5044627
Abstract: A multi-functional stationary bike for gymnastic purpose. A hand-exercise mechanism is mounted above a bike frame and a foot-exercise mechanism is mounted under the bike frame. The hand-exercise and foot-exercise mechanism include respective base and gear mechanisms, wherein the gear mechanism can rotate and roll along the base by use of a gear and several bearings. The hand-exercise and foot exercise mechanism are thus allowed to do reciprocal motions in forward, rearward, upward and downward directions simultaneously, whereby the users may receive an adequate full-body exercise.

  • Patent number: 4842269
Abstract: A stationary exercise bike that includes a foot-exercise mechanism that rotates and a hand-exercise mechanism that rotates. In addition to the rotational movement, both the foot-exercise mechanism and the hand-exercise mechanism simultaneously move in a reciprocating manner. The foot-exercise mechanism makes reciprocating upward and downward movements in a vertical plane and the hand-exercise mechanism makes reciprocation forward and backward movements in a horizontal plane. The height of the hand-exercise mechanism and the seat of the bike are adjustable, so that they may be positioned at a proper height and angle.

  • Patent number: 4772153
Abstract: This invention is related to a tightening device used for a bicycle's frame. This device includes a shell having an interior space having a pair of lugs formed thereon. A screw and a nut provides for selectively, adjustably tightening the said bracket. A tightening piece is confined and supported within each lug, each piece having a contact surface which communicates with the interior space of the bracket, the contact surface of the tightening piece is provided with a curvature being similar and complementary-shaped to that of the surface of the structural member. When the seat tube is inserted into the interior space and the nut is tightened, the said contact surface of the tightening piece tightens and contacts the surface of the tube firmly along an area being greater than a line.
