Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a controlling method of a charging and discharging device, using a charging and discharging device including a plurality of units, wherein the units include a plurality of chambers accommodated in the units, wherein the chambers include a plurality of channels accommodated in the chambers, and wherein the channels charge or discharge secondary batteries, comprising: selecting a plurality of channels, each of which is connected to a secondary battery; and charging-and-discharging each of the secondary batteries connected to the selected plurality of channels, wherein the selecting a plurality of channels includes selecting the plurality of channels in a same unit.

Abstract: A temperature management system for a room with a charge discharge device installed is provided, and the temperature management system includes one or more charge discharge devices installed in a room, performing charging or discharging of a battery, and including an external air conditioning module adjusting air temperature in the room, and a managing server controlling operation of the external air conditioning module of each of the charge discharge devices to adjust temperature in the room. When the temperature of the room with a charge discharge device installed increases due to heat generated by charging or discharging of the battery, the charge discharge devices may cool the air of the room, and a load to an air conditioner installed in a building can be reduced.

Abstract: A secondary battery is provided in the present application. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a cathode and an anode facing the cathode, thermoelectric elements columns arranged on a surface of the electrode assembly, and a circuit structure that electrically connects the thermoelectric element columns. The circuit structure includes a series/parallel switching unit configured to switch a connection between the thermoelectric element columns from a series connection to a parallel connection or from a parallel connection to a series connection. The thermoelectric element columns are connected selectively in parallel or in series to improve rapid charging and life-span properties.
