    Abstract: A system and a method of adjusting colors of print data are provided. The system includes a printer driver converting a document transmitted from an application program into print data suitable for a printer and transmitting the print data to the printer. A soft proofing unit applies a soft proofing process to the print data converted by the printer driver. A display unit displays the print data obtained through the soft proofing process. A color lookup table (CLUT) supplies a color adjustment value to the print data when the print data is processed in the soft proofing unit. A system and a method of adjusting colors of print data is also provided to allow a user to accurately predict and adjust the colors of a printout, thereby obtaining the printout having the desired colors.

    Abstract: A method of providing a print preview of a print document allows a user to preview the print document on a user interface (or a registration window) of a printer driver, thereby allowing the user to intuitively recognize a print preview function and execute the print preview function without being confused by menus associated with the print preview function. The method includes selecting a print menu in an application program related to the print document to print the print document. A printer driver is executed to display a print window on a screen of a computer executing the application program when the print menu is selected on the application program. An additional print preview selection message window is displayed on the screen to instruct a user to select whether or not to invoke a print preview window when a confirmation button is pressed in the print window to transmit a print command to a printer.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a status information management system and method for network-based image-forming apparatuses. The status information management system comprises at least one image-forming apparatus connected to a network, and for printing data transferred through the network; and a web server connected to the image-forming apparatus through the network, and managing operation status information of the image-forming apparatus, wherein the web server creates in advance, lists, and stores a code file corresponding to each operation status of the image-forming apparatus in order to manage the operation status information of the image-forming apparatus. The image-forming apparatus checks its own operation status at predetermined time intervals, searches the web server for a code file corresponding to the operation status, and reads the code file out of the web server. The web server can check the operation status of the image-forming apparatus by checking the code file read out by the image-forming apparatus.
