  • Publication number: 20150054701
Abstract: An electronic device including a processor and an antenna device is provided. The antenna device includes a power feeding unit, a first radiation section connected to the power feeding unit, and a switching element including a first terminal electrically connected to first portion of the first radiation section, and a second terminal electrically connected to a second portion of the first radiation section. The processor uses a first resonance frequency band when the switching element is opened and uses a second resonance frequency which is different from the first when the switching element is closed.

  • Publication number: 20140347247
Abstract: An antenna device is provided for an electronic device. The antenna device includes a first radiation element and a second radiation element spaced apart from each other. The antenna device also includes a first feeding unit and a second feeding unit for feeding electricity to the first radiation element and the second radiation element, respectively. The antenna device further includes a first feeding port for connecting the first radiation element to the first feeding unit, and a second feeding port for connecting the second radiation element to the second feeding unit. The first feeding port and the second feeding port form electric/magnetic field coupling (E/H coupling) having a phase that differs from that of E/H coupling between the first radiation element and the second radiation element.

  • Publication number: 20140015723
Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna device for a portable terminal, including a circuit board having a conductive layer attached on a surface, a first slit formed by partially removing the conductive layer in a position adjacent to one side of the circuit board, the first slit extending in parallel with a lateral periphery of the circuit board, a radiation portion comprising part of the conductive layer positioned on the lateral periphery of the circuit board in one side of the first slit, and a feed line placed on the first slit and adapted to feed the radiation portion from the other side of the first slit. The radiation portion further comprises a second slit extending from the first slit to the lateral periphery of the circuit board across part of the conductive layer forming the radiation portion, and a frequency adjustment element placed on the second slit.

  • Publication number: 20130321226
Abstract: A portable terminal includes an antenna device having a circuit board on a surface of which a conductive layer is formed, a slit that removes a portion of the conductive layer and extends in a direction, an auxiliary board positioned on the slit to face a surface of the circuit board, and a radiation pattern formed on the auxiliary board, in which the radiation pattern is disposed to partially enclose the slit. Even when the radiation pattern is disposed on the conductive layer, induced current generated around the slit can be controlled in the same direction as signal power, thereby preventing radiation performance from being degraded by an inverse current phenomenon in spite of disposition of the radiation pattern on the conductive layer.
