Abstract: An operation method of a relay node may include: receiving, from a first communication node, first data composed of n bits; receiving, from a second communication node, second data composed of m bits; in response to determining that n is greater than m, generating first T-data of m bits excluding (n-m) bits from the n-bits of the first data and first R-data of (n-m) bits; generating third data by performing a network coding operation on the first T-data and the second data; transmitting the third data to the first communication node; and transmitting the third data and the first R-data to the second communication node.

Abstract: A media data classification is provided. A Serving GPRS Supporting Node (SGSN) for indicating an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) data flow in a mobile communication system includes a communication module for communicating with other nodes; and a media flow manager for communicating with the other nodes through the communication module, receiving a Packet Data Protocol (PDP) context activation message, and transmitting a PDP context generation message by including information indicative of IMS data when there is the information indicative of the IMS data.

Abstract: A mobile communication system for supporting a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) is provided. More particularly, an apparatus and a method for applying a direct tunnel feature in order to reduce a transmission delay of a mobile communication system for providing an MBMS. The system includes a Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN). The GGSN omits transmission of data to a Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) and transmits data to a Radio Network Controller (RNC) using the direct tunnel feature when transmitting data.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for receiving various packet services using the same Internet protocol address in a wideband code division multiple access universal mobile telecommunication service system. A user equipment receives information corresponding to additional packet services from a short message server through a short message. The user equipment receives the additional packet services as well as a currently used packet service through the same Internet protocol address.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to a user equipment (UE) according to the Packet Data Protocol (PDP) type of call are provided. In the VPN service providing method, a Gateway GPRS Support Nodes (GGSN) receives a create PDP connection request message from a Serving GPRS Support Nodes (SGSN), for the VPN service of the UE, initializes a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) session if the call is an IP call, creates a layer 2 tunneling protocol (L2TP) tunnel with a layer 2 tunneling protocol (L2TP) network server (LNS), sets up a session, sets up a PPP connection with the LNS, and transmits a create PDP context response message to the service node, after the PPP connection.
