  • Publication number: 20240095510
Abstract: Disclosed is a neuromorphic integrated circuit including, in some embodiments, a multi-layered neural network disposed in an analog multiplier array of two-quadrant multipliers. Each multiplier of the multipliers is wired to ground and draws a negligible amount of current when input signal values for input signals to transistors of the multiplier are approximately zero, weight values of the transistors of the multiplier are approximately zero, or a combination thereof Also disclosed is a method of the neuromorphic integrated circuit including, in some embodiments, training the neural network; tracking rates of change for the weight values; determining if and how quickly certain weight values are trending toward zero; and driving those weight values toward zero, thereby encouraging sparsity in the neural network. Sparsity in the neural network combined with the multipliers wired to ground minimizes power consumption of the neuromorphic integrated circuit such that battery power is sufficient for power.

  • Publication number: 20220339955
Abstract: A carrier comprising: (a) a first panel; (b) an opposing second panel secured to the first panel by an adhesive disposed between the first panel and the second panel near a periphery of the carrier to form a pocket between the first panel and the second panel; and (c) scoring along the first panel, the second panel, or both that aligns with the adhesive so that, if the first panel and the second panel are separated, the scoring disassembles and visually indicates the carrier has been tampered with.

  • Publication number: 20160366643
Abstract: A metering device may be configured to communicate with other devices in an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system. For example, a metering device may be configured to communicate with a collection device. To enable such communications, a collection device may send a wake-up-tone and/or a request message to a metering device. Based on the request message, a metering device may send data to the collection device. Metering communication networks may be mobile and/or fixed. For example, a mobile collection device may use a wireless signal to interrogate a metering device to retrieve data from the metering device.

  • Patent number: 9110934
Abstract: The invention enables server administrators (SAs) to improve their productivity and performance. With the methods and systems described herein, the prior art needed to search for appropriate tools for appropriate tasks is minimized and/or eliminated. Easier scripting and automation that does not require implementation across tools is provided. A consistent logical place is provided for all resources to be used. Standardization of tools enables improvements in service quality. Tools may be provided using one unambiguous authoritative data model, which eliminates data inconsistencies between sources. With the invention, updates to service delivery clients may be delivered more quickly. The invention also reduces costs for developing, deploying, and maintaining a tightly integrated service delivery client. Integration may be provided from the bottom up rather than after the fact.

  • Patent number: 8728589
Abstract: A laser decal transfer is used to generate thin film features by directing laser pulses of very low energy at the back of a target substrate illuminating an area of a thin layer of a high viscosity rheological fluid coating the front surface of the target. The illuminated area is shaped and defined by an aperture centered about the laser beam. The decal transfer process allows for the release and transfer from the target substrate to the receiving substrate a uniform and continuous layer identical in shape and size of the laser irradiated area. The released layer is transferred across the gap with almost no changes to its initial size and shape. The resulting patterns transferred onto the receiving substrate are highly uniform in thickness and morphology, have sharp edge features and exhibit high adhesion, independent of the surface energy, wetting or phobicity of the receiving substrate.
