  • Publication number: 20240146007
Abstract: An electrical connector for electrically connecting a coaxial cable to an antenna disposed on a thin support, the coaxial cable including a pin and a shield separated by a dielectric element and protected by an insulated layer. The electrical connector includes a shield part having at least one leg and a bridge to clamp the shield between the bridge of the shield part and the antenna and to electrically connect the shield to the antenna. The electrical connector also includes a pin part having at least one leg and a bridge to clamp the pin between the bridge of the pin part and the antenna and to electrically connect the pin to the antenna. The pin part is electrically isolated from the shield part. Each of the at least one leg of the shield part includes at least a penetration means designed to penetrate through the thin support.

  • Publication number: 20240118414
Abstract: A vehicular sensing system includes a radar sensor including a radar module having a plurality of transmitters and a plurality of receivers. The radar module includes a plurality of facets, with each facet arranged at an obtuse angle relative to an adjacent facet and having a respective transmitter and a respective receiver disposed thereat. The respective transmitter and the respective receiver of each facet have a respective field of sensing and a respective principal sensing axis that is perpendicular to the respective facet. The vehicular sensing system, responsive to processing by the data processor of sensor data captured by the radar sensor, determines presence of a target object within a field of sensing of the radar sensor. Responsive to determining presence of the object, the vehicular sensing system controls a system of the vehicle based on the determined presence of the object.

  • Publication number: 20230305142
Abstract: A vehicular radar sensing system includes a radar sensor disposed at a vehicle and having a printed circuit board (PCB). The radar sensor includes an antenna structure having a transmitting port for a transmitter of the radar sensor and a receiving port for a receiver of the radar sensor. The antenna structure includes a wall structure that extends from a first side of the antenna structure toward a first side of the PCB to at least partially define a transmitting area and a receiving area to isolate radio frequency signals at the transmitting area from radio frequency signals at the receiving area. The antenna structure includes a transmitting wave-guide that guides transmitted radio signals from the transmitter through the transmitting area to the transmitting port. The antenna structure includes a receiving wave-guide that guides received radio signals from the receiving port through the receiving area to the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20230243962
Abstract: A vehicular sensing system includes a radar sensor disposed at a first vehicle and operable to sense objects within a field of sensing of the radar sensor. Responsive to a sensing system of a second vehicle detecting an object while the detected object is not within the field of sensing of the radar sensor of the first vehicle, the vehicular sensing system receives from the second vehicle one or more characteristics of the detected object while the detected object is not within the field of sensing of the radar sensor of the first vehicle. The vehicular sensing system, responsive to receiving the one or more characteristics of the detected object from the second vehicle, adjusts sensing by the radar sensor of the first vehicle based at least in part on the received one or more characteristics of the detected object.
