  • Patent number: 8646433
Abstract: An arrangement for exhaust braking of a combustion engine (2) which is equipped with a turbo unit with at least one flow element in the form of a vane or rail (17, 27) settable in varying positions to control the flow of exhaust gases through the turbine (6). A bypass line (25) provided with an inlet aperture (25a) is connected to an exhaust passage (4a, 19, 20) at a location upstream of the flow element (17, 27). An outlet aperture (25b) is connected to the exhaust passage (21, 4b) at a location downstream of the flow element (17, 27). A throttle (26) in the bypass line. A control device (13, 18) places the flow element (17, 27) in a substantially closed position when an exhaust braking process is to be effected, so that a positive pressure occurs in the exhaust passage (4a, 19) at a location upstream of the flow element (17, 27), which positive pressure is defined by the throttle (26).

  • Publication number: 20120204432
Abstract: The present invention relates to a handle part (20) for a motorized, handheld tool (10), having at least one handle (21, 22), for an operator to carry and operate the tool (10), said handle part (20) further having at least one base portion (23) arranged adjacent said at least one handle (21, 22) in such a way that a toe portion, of a boot or the like of an operator, may be held against the base portion (23) when the tool (10) is placed on the ground. Said handle part (20) further having at least one rear portion (24) arranged where the base plate (23) and said at least one handle (21, 22) meet, in such a way that a thigh of an operator may be held against the rear portion (23) when operating the tool (10).

  • Patent number: 6692199
Abstract: A cutting insert for grooving and parting as well as profiling and longitudinal turning of metallic work-pieces, includes a shaft part and at least one cutting head. There is a front end surface at the front end of the cutting insert, and a rear end surface at the rear end of the cutting insert. The shaft part includes a top side, a bottom side and side surfaces extending between the tope and bottom two sides. The cutting head carries a cutting edge defined by the intersection between a chip surface and a clearance surface. The cutting edge has a circular shape and has mainly a constant curvature between the ends thereof. The chip side of the cutting head is provided with a first chip-forming device placed immediately inside the cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 6236986
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for extracting information from a database, which comprises a plurality of data records, each data record comprising at least two data elements, each data element being defined by a data element type and a data element value. First, the data records are read into the primary memory of a computer, so that all processing of the data may be done off-line. Then, the data element values are binary-coded and stored in one or more tables. When the selection of at least one data element value is detected, all binary-coded data element values are examined to obtain all data records implied by selection. Due to the binary-coding, these data records are found very quickly. Finally the data element values implied by the selection is kept track of in a status set.
