    Abstract: A method performed by an Application Server (AS) node PCRM-AS for assisting a UE in restoring an association between an Internet protocol Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, node, and the UE via one or more first intermediate proxy nodes in a communications network is provided. When the AS node receives from the UE, a first registration relating to the association, monitor said association. The first registration registers the UE to an IMS network. The first registration comprises an identity identifying the UE and a Push Notification Service (PNS) node serving the UE. When any of the intermediate proxy nodes in the monitored association becomes unavailable, the AS node sends an instruction to the identified PNS node. The instruction instructs the PNS node to send a notification to the identified UE. The notification triggers the UE to restore the association between the IMS node and the UE via one or more available second intermediate proxy nodes.

    Abstract: When a user equipment is roaming in a visited network, mid-call handover from VoWiFi to VoLTE is controlled by policies enforced in the user equipment and the home network. An inter-operator policy and a subscription policy are stored in the home network and a user equipment policy is stored in the user equipment. The roaming user equipment registers in a visited network. Later, when mid-call handover to VoLTE on the visited network is desired, and also permitted by its user equipment policy, the user equipment sends a request containing a call-specific identifier which the responsible network entity in the home network compares with the registered handover parameter having regard to the inter-operator and subscription policies. If compliance with the policies is found, then the mid-call handover is proceeded with.

A notification is then received by the device over said internet connection indicating that an incoming communication directed to the second SIM has been received by the second subscription.     Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and method of associating communication service sessions with geographical locations. Each of a multiplicity of user devices, attached to one or more access networks via respective access points, can determine the identity of an access point serving that particular user device. The user device then registers with a location service, via the access network, both the network access point identity and a geographical address at which the access point is located. The location service can then use the registered access point identity and geographical address to register the user device, or another user device, in a communication service in association with said geographical address. In this way, the geographical address of a registered user device, which is associated with a particular communication service session, can be determine.

    Abstract: A method of determining in an IP multimedia subsystem, IMS, network which radio access type, RAT, should be used to route a terminating session directed towards a user equipment, UE. The HSS receives a terminating access domain selection, T-ADS, query from an application server, AS, of the IMS network, the T-ADS query relating to the terminating session and identifying the UE; and determines whether a packet data network gateway, PDN-GW, is registered for the UE. In the case where a PDN-GW is registered, the HSS sends a RAT request towards the PDN-GW, the RAT request identifying the UE and requesting a RAT used by the UE to connect to the IMS network. The PDN-GW determines the RAT and sends the result towards the HSS, which sends a T-ADS response to the AS indicating the RAT. In the case where a PDN-GW is not registered, the HSS sends a T-ADS response to the AS indicating that the RAT is a circuit switched RAT. Apparatus for implementing the method are also provided.

A SIP proxy node receives a SIP OPTIONS message from a querying node. It sends the message to a plurality of devices, and receives a response from at least two of the plurality of devices. Each response includes an identity of the responding device and an indication of the capabilities of the responding device. Each received response is stored in a memory, and a reply message is generated. The reply message includes the identities and capabilities of all of the responding devices. This reply message is then sent to the querying node. This allows the querying node to receive capability information relating to all of the callee's devices rather than just the one that responds first.
